  1. I had a dream last night that I was at a concert chugging down a draft beer and after the fact knowing it was sooooo not ok...oh the good ol' days
  2. I've been gluten-free for almost 4 months and still have it, along with the weight gain I had instant issues with...every day I hope it will start to turn around, but it has yet to!
  3. I'd blame it on that if this hadn't been going on for so long. I get plenty of carbs from healthy foods, close to 40% of my diet is carbs. It doesn't seem to matter what I do or don't eat...I'm tired regardless.
  4. Thanks for the advice on what else I can get tested for! I hope this is all celiac related - and that it gets better soon! I leave for Italy on Thursday and was hoping I'd have more energy by now...maybe a vacation will do the trick
  5. The fatigue started long before I knew I had celiac, it just got worse after going off gluten. I am on a very strict paleo diet, and never have been much for processed foods. I tried to push myself physically and ended up close to puking and dang near passing out. I've yet to have those "better days"...but I'm hoping they are in the near future!
  6. It is hard...donated some more blood today, they are testing for: ANTI-Sm ANTI-RNP Anti-SSB Anti-Top 1 Anti-SSA Hopefully it all comes back ok. They're definitely worried though because of how tired I am!
  7. They did my TSH and T3 levels, all of which were normal. Everything they've run my blood for has been negative except for the ANA. I go back in today for more extensive bloodwork, I'll see what they come up with. AND I'll try not to worry!! Quite the learning experience this has been...thanks for the good luck wishes, I hope I feel better soon as well...
  8. Been in for blood work 2 additional times since diagnosed with celiac and LC because of my overbearing fatigue - most recent test did the ANA along with 3 others which all were negative except for the ANA, which came back as speckled at 1:80. More extensive blood work tomorrow, and a recommendation to see a rheumatologist. This is all so foreign to me,...
  9. I'm a few years past 25 (not quite 30 lol), but can 100% relate to what you're going through! I've gone mis-diagnosed since high school, where I repeatedly got sent home for "anxiety attacks" which I now suspect were the beginning stages of celiac. I just got diagnosed 2 months ago, and on Monday got dairy, grains, and corn taken away on top of the gluten...
  10. My dietician recommended Heather's Tummy to me on Monday...thought it might be worth a try!!
  11. Went to see a dietician yesterday, she put me on a VERY STRICT paleo diet, and told me I'd probably have to eliminate grain, corn, and dairy for a long LONNNNNGGGG time. Possibly forever. I figured out last week I do not digest rice at all, goes right through me. Soooo...on to yet another exciting adventure of eliminating more foods! Sure hope it peps...
  12. I'm in the same boat! Gained close to 10 lbs in the last 6 weeks. Also on the primal diet, averaging 1200 calories of pure goodness a day.
  13. I think I've checked out that forum before, when I was first diagnosed with the LC. I know I've also looked into the SCD diet...it's probably something I should go ahead and try. I've very disciplined when it comes to food, so I know I could do it if I needed to and thought it would work. Last week I switched to decaf coffee, and a soft foods diet to try...
  14. I am going to my gastroenterologist that did my colonoscopy
  15. So far, the doctor has run my B12 levels, folic acid, and TSH...all normal, the TSH was slightly below normal. Today, he ordered: CCP Antibody, ANA, Cortisol, and T3. Interesting combo. Anyone else had all these random tests done? They're trying to figure out what is causing my extreme fatigue...it all just blows my mind to be quite honest! Oh and more...
  16. My doctor ordered all kinds of tests today for the fatigue - he said its a tough one to figure out because it can be caused by SO many things in our bodies - but to not give up, that we'd find an answer. It's nice to know I'm not alone...and not totally losing my mind on this deal!
  17. Thank you for the great advice - I've read the worst thing you can do is diet, which of course I don't do...I just try to eat right. My doctor said today that the weight gain is probably because part of my stomach is finally healing - he was surpised though that I'd gained what I had in 6 weeks. I guess after spending 15 years with this, some abnormal things...
  18. I too have had HORRIBLE teeth since my teenage years...one more thing I have an answer to after finding out about all of this.
  19. I wish my eating was the answer...I eat healthier than anyone I know! It's scary how good I eat actually. My doctor ran my TSH levels...apparently they were below normal. No idea what that means. That's the only test they did though. Maybe I can get more out of them tomorrow.
  20. What I meant by it being a small modification was because I eat mostly natural whole foods anyway - things grown out of my garden, and lean meats. Never been big on pasta or bread or starchy foods. I am very health-conscious, so it wasn't a major deal to completely remove gluten. I have gained weight, about 8 lbs in a matter of 6 weeks - which to me is...
  21. So this is normal for a bunch of us? Because I'm ready to lose my mind I've been so tired - to the point that some days, the couch is where I stay...all day. My B12 and folic acid tests came back normal, and I've been taking a B12 supplement...but nothing gives. I go back to the doctor Wednesday, and am not sure what to even do! So frustrating. I feel...
  22. Thanks for all the great advice! We will be mostly traveling on our own, so I'd imagine I'll use the "celiac" card often! Unfortunately, immodium doesn't touch my "D" issues, no matter how much I take! Could make for an interesting 10 days...
  23. Luckily I go back to the doctor next week, as I don't think how I'm feeling is normal. No one my age should be grounded to the couch on the weekends!! I apologize, I thought you were referring directly to me, and I used to live in the gym, so feeling this way is terribly hard for me right now! Yes I'm fairly new, and unfortunately, have gotten no relief...
  24. So glad I saw this! I have just started venturing out into the "specialty" gluten free foods, starting with Glutino pretzels - where I live the crackers are hard to find, but now I'm on a mission!!
  25. I mentioned above, I've had a personal trainer for 10+ years, and 110% know how to eat properly, and how many calories to take in to be in a deficit and lose weight. I am (was) the queen of working out and being in amazing shape. My problem is, I have ZERO and I mean ZERO energy since this all started. So, to make up for the fact that I can't drag myself...
