  1. Open Original Shared Link This ship is about to enter our harbor today. The Elizabeth ll was to be here yesterday, but the recent nor'easter blew all the water out of Manteo Harbor and it could not leave. I can see her in the distance in full sail. She's beautiful.
  2. WOW! Now that is somewhere I could relocate. Jim used to fly into Seattle a lot and sometimes I could hop a ride. It's a wonderful place.
  3. Wow! I admire those who can make crackers. I think crackers come from grocery stores. Try to do a recipe search on this thread. I bet there are some posted. Good luck.

Yes, she has her own thread called "OMG..." You should check it out.
  8. Welcome! Would you mind if I asked you what test your son had? The gluten free diet can be really tricky in the beginning. Toasters, wooden spoons, scratched pots and pans, vitamines, meds and lotions can all hide gluten. Play doh is gluten. Should he have Celiac just one crumb could be very upsetting to his system. Some adults have improvement...
  9. Here is a helpful list for you: Open Original Shared Link It might be better to stay away from fast foods until you know the results of his testing. French fries can be easily made at home. Oh, and welcome.
  10. Scott makes that happen.

  14. Hi Mike, Some here have been diagnosed with Celiac subsequent to other things such as diabetes, fibro., RA and other things. Many here only have neurological issues. You might be lucky and have an informed doctor. Unfortunately, many of us have not. If you test positive for Celiac, yes, you can begin or continue with the gluten free diet. If not...

  18. Welcome! If you had a positive blood work, in addition to your biopsy result, your positive dietary response, you have Celiac. Any ONE of these things can diagnose for Celiac. There is no such thing as borderline. Ya do, or ya don't. There is a 20% change that you will pass on the Celiac gene to your first degree relatives. My best advise...

  21. Great! You know both sides of the arguement. There have been very extensive discussions about french fries on this site. You can do a search. It has always amazed me that something as simple as french fries can birth such emotions and how important McD's is in the life of Americans. (Sorry, I digress. McD's has a long history here). It's a personal...
  22. I am sure that oats have a shelf life. Does it have an expiration date? Other than that, I have not tried it.
  23. Thank your for posting that. I don't think that I have ever read a response from Dannon. But, my preference is Yoplait who LABELS their product as gluten free. I really like to support those companies who do. BTW, any time you see Modified Food Starch (in the US) you can always assume that it is derived from corn unless otherwise stated as "Modified...
  24. If it was dervied from wheat it must be listed. You mentioned that you "ordered" yogurt, so perhaps you were cross contaminated with dipping untensils. Starch does not concern me.
  25. Nope, not me. Sorry
