Lisa replied to ashhm's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
The symptoms that you listed are classic celiac symptoms. I would request/demand that the GI Dr. to an endoscopy test with a biopsy to rule out celiac. You can't live your life this misserable. Hope you find a cause and get well soon. But....I bet your have Celiac Disease Lisa B. -

Lisa replied to Danijela's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
It is most likely anxiety. What tests are you going to have...colon? We have all been through this type of things. Just think you're on your way to healing by getting tested. Good luck and let us know Lisa B. -
Never the less, I trust your experience. You are far wiser than me, as I am three months into my Celiac experience. You have many years preceeding me. What I have learned in these few months, I have informed my doctors and friends that truely care for me as a friend. It truely has been quite a ride......... I am just beginning to feel like my "old...

If richard says it's ok, then it's okay...if he says that it's not, then it's not. I totally trust him with my health (not to burden him, but to respect him and his experience). Lisa B.

I am not sure that inhaling flour can "gluten" you, but many people on the site do feel that it is possible. How long have you been gluten-free? I do think that the longer you are gluten free, you may be more sensitive to glutens that you digest and possibly inhale. Could you work through your college and get a dorm transfer? Hope that you can work... -

ARCHIVED My Daughters Dr. Appt.
Lisa replied to Lisa's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
Our Doctor reviewed her history, requested records from past tests, took her off the Donnatol and she is trying Zelnorm for a while to see if she gets any relief from that. He suspects that the Donnatol is giving her the morning headaches. To my knowledge there is not much difference in the symptoms between IBS and celiac disease. He has suggested that... -
ARCHIVED Antacids
Lisa replied to mookie03's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
I use Zantac 75 or 150"s. the 150's usually clear out my system at some point after taking one, but I am usually home. Pepsid is also ok. Don't think Tums chewable is good, but will have to look it up. Go to the products thread and search for "antacids". There you will find your answers. -
Bernese: Don't forget about the horses. They often carry alot of creepy things. That's why they have to be "wormed" about ever three month of so. You could may have well been infected by just hanging around them if you a super-sensitive. They carry "botts" fly eggs, skin fungus, tick (lyme disease), parasites and others that I won't mention. Don...

From what I understand Alcohol is basically a solvent, like dish soap going through your body. For those that have been gluten-free for a while, you body is reacting to other toxins as gluten would be. The body gets more sensitized. (sp) If it dosn't react to gluten, it will react to other toxins. It is just what it does in it's defense. I still drink...

Regionally or course, would anyone in the region be willing to travel to the Outer Banks of NC for a weekend at the beach for a support group/think tank gathering? It would be a non-holiday weekend. The house has one double bed, four single beds, and room for a day bed, and more space for sleeping bags. 3 bathrooms with and additional outside shower. ... -

I have been thinking about this for a while. He said that flattening of the villi is the classic hallmark of celiac disease? That is very interesting!!!! I have had the biopsy and flattening and scalloping of the walls was indicated and biopsy confirmed celiac disease. I was curious about research being done that would cause the same effects on the...

Chill, chill, chill.........I am one of the buttless people on the site. Keep an open mind and see what the Gastro Dr. suggests. To try to find the reason for all of this can truely be frustrating.
