  1. This is a quick question. Do you all feel comfortable ordering restaurant Balsamic Dressing on your salads? I think this is glutening me. Sometimes I bring you own dressing, but today I ordered the restaurants dressing. Last nights dinner was ribs with Emeril's Original and Lindberg wild rice blend (both gluten-free according to Delfi) "D" issues...
  2. I would hold off until you contact the company.
  3. I am sorry for your daughter. It seems worse sometimes when you are dealing with your children. It is easier for an adult to deal with celiac disease factors. I would suggest that you give grandma some suggested menus that would be suitable for your daughter. Give her a list of what is good ie. gluten free eggos, eggs, oscar myer bacon, gluten free...
  4. I have never been a fan of breakfast food (other than Denny's, and that's out). I usually plan enough leftovers that would be suitable for breakfast. Rice, sausage, beef, mashed potatoes and I love wild rice or a mixed blend of wild rice for morning. (I also add Herb Ox- Chicken broth in the water to add a richer flavor to make it not so blah). I have...
  5. Good for Stephanie. Everyone needs a pat on the back when alot of hard work in done. Remind me not to make her mad
  6. I too, feel the same as Mart. There are so many of you the have guided me through the roller-coaster of Celiacland. Karen for her everpresent suppost, Kaitie for her everpresence, Richard, the word of an expert, Shirley, for thinking that everyone should know how to milk a goat, Tiffany for her knowledge and great research, celiac3270 who will do great things...
  7. I usually add drained crushed pineapple and crushed peacans of walnuts. (raisians if not pineapple)
  8. Jimmy Dean plain sausage is gluten-free
  9. Hey wait a minute......We had a farm and had horses. I never milked them though. See.......I bet that I'm not the only one who leared alot about goat milk....Pthhhhh
  10. Good for you...At least you made some progress. Never tried goat milk though. Do you milk the goats What is the difference between cow milk and goat milk? Lisa B.
  11. I too have questions about vinegars. It seems to be in every thing that I want to buy........As in Kraft products. I would like to know that when I see just "vinegar" that the are gluten free. Isn't most vinegar gluten free?...unless it says malt vinegar? Lisa B. To my understanding, Paul Newman dressings are safe as well as most Annies Dressing...
  12. I don't know much about MS, but I looking in to it now. I have a first cousin with MS and I have not seen her in many, many years and don't communicate because of distance. I have muscle weakness and my hands and arms sort of tremer, almost spastic. I don't know whether this is gluten or something that I need to watch for. Before going gluten free,...
  13. Hey Guys: Let's remember the RG (Random Guy) joined today. He (guy -he) has joined the site today. Let's welcome him and wish him good thoughts that he found us. It is easy for all of us to get off on different topics. I think that his question got a little bit expansive from the question. Lets's address RG's questions.
  14. It's there.
  15. Hey Random Welcome here. To you questions: 1. Gluten is gluten, toxic to your system if you feel the discomfort or not and it will cause damage to your intestines. 2. Cross continination will also cause you damage to your small intestines whether you feel the result to the damage or not. I don't know what it is like to be non-symptomatic, although...
  16. I don't know much about coeliac. Others on the post do. How old is your son and what are his symptoms? What food has he been eating and why did they recommend a restricted diest? Why did they reintroduce wheat?. All these questions will help us help you. Lisa B.
  17. Thanks, that will make my life in the grocery store ALOT easier........thank you so much.
  18. Wheat free Tamari is good, better that La Choy which is bla., but also gluten free. Enjoy
  19. I have been on the diet for, lets see, four months by now. I still feel uncomfortable going out of town. At two months, every other day was a good one. At three months every second day was good. And now at four, it is every three days.....healing will take time. I know that when I have to be out of town or sitting in a meeting for six hours, Immodium...
  20. I living in the northeast coast of North Carolina ( I think most everyone here knows that).
  21. I take Oil of Olay, which is gluten-free, but you must be able to ingest (as in being able to absorb nuitrients through your small intestines). This big "D" will run it straight through your system and it won't absorb. I have also found that it has cleared away some of my age spots and sun over-exposure spots, and it has evened out my complextion and...
  22. Short but sweet question........Many products just list ingredence as "vinegar". Do I assume that all vinegar's are distilled, and therefor OK? Or do I need to buy products that list "distilled Vinegar" Thank you for your impute
  23. This may be shortly off topic....but may pertain to Kraft: When a "safe" company lists vineager, should be assusme that it distilled and therefore safe? I have found some products on the delfi list that are "safe", yet on their product, it just says vineager on their ingredence. There in is my confussion. Any help with this. Lisa B...
  24. The red blood that I mentioned is surely hermroid issues. I am not concerned about that. For months I have been dealing with the big D and now being gluten-free for almost four months my "discharge" has changed (I don't know how to put it although it is harden and not easily passed as not has been the facter for six months) and it is expected that the bowls...
  25. I can't help you make sense of this because I just don't know. I do know that when I went the the GI Dr., I had never heard of Celiac Disease. I knew alot about IBS, but nothing about gluten intolerance. I was diognosed within two months of the celiac disease kicking into high gear and I am hoping that the damage was not as severe as those who have...
