If you do chili - how about making a taco salad. You can add thawed frozen peas, chopped carrots and corn to really make it festive. Serve with a fruit salad for desert. -

Melisa - If your hubby does get into the donuts, make sure he bruhes his teeth (with a gluten free toothpaste) before he kisses you. That should go over real well. Have you checked into any other medications that you are taking? How about makup and lotions? Do you have pets? I didn't even think of it until I read this on the board, but if you give a pet food or treats you need to wash your hands. The first ingredient in pet food and treats is usually wheat! How about malabsorbtion as a topic? I was severely anemic, my platelet count was way off and My body was not retaining Vitamin K. As a result of that, I had bruises all over my body for no known reason. I developed a nose bleed that lasted for 4 hour and ended up in the hospital overnight to get blood and plasma.

Does anyone have a recipe for tater tot casserole? The casserole was mentioned on the tv documentary a few weeks ago. Of course I didn't have a pen handy when they gave out the recipe.

I just looked at the Progresso Chicken and Wild Rice soup states that it contains soy, milk and egg, it does not say anything about gluten. I looked at the ingredients list, and noticed that it contains MSG and Modified Food Starch (Does not list the source). -

MFS could be made with wheat or corn. You shouldn't eat it unless it specifies Modified Corn Starch. -

Currently I am taking Spring Valley Natural Calcium with Vitamin D. The dosage I take is only 125 I.U. I don't know if they make a higher dosage, or maybe they have just Vitamin D in a higher dosage without Calcium. If not you could make a whole meal out of it to get 800 I.U. One of the symptoms of Celiac is Osteoporosis. This causes thinning and weakening of the bones. It is true that men are less susceptible to Osteoporosis, but they do get it. He may want to check with the orthopedic to see is this is what could be causing the slow healing.
