  1. Just checking to see if you Celiacs sometimes drink coke too? It's my understanding that it is on their list of gluten free items... Thanks much - Amanda
  2. Here ya go: https://www.celiac.com/articles/22452/1/Celiac-Disease-Carries-No-Higher-Risk-of-Colorectal-Cancer/Page1.html
  3. No. The most recent research says it does not.
  4. I'd like to know what kind of follow-up tests you get every year or every few years?
  5. To be clear it wasn't a true polyp, it was a small inflammatory growth from infection. Sorry if I wasn't clear.
  6. Hi guys - I want your opinion. I'm 35 and when in for my good old regular physical (I see a gastro yearly who just checks to make sure I'm following my diet and usually runs vitamin d, diabetes and thyroid checks). My general practitioner said "Now with Celiac you can eat rice, yes? Milk?" And then she mentioned that she wondered if I should be followed...
  7. Thanks guys! I also need to be on it daily. I've also been prescribed Omnaris nasal spray - this time of year I have to have allergy meds - from about late July till end of September.
  8. Do any Celiacs on here use the regular Allegra over the counter in the purple box. Called and sounded safe but wanted to see from you guys - thanks!
  9. AMEN!
  10. Hi guys, Basic non-flavored coffee is gluten-free, correct? I just got some Equal Exchange coffee and I wanted to make sure. Thanks again!

  16. I deal with anxiety and OCD (and celiac, blech!) Exercise, a good counselor, medication (lots of gluten free ones) and relaxation therapy. I find that when I deal with the anxiety, etc. the celiac doesn't seem bad to have at all!
  17. GUYS! You rock. I read all your posts...went to the Mounds Pet food here and made my own cockatiel mix with peanut, corn, red and white millet, safflower and buckwheat seeds. NO gluten and way cheaper than the crappier wheat-filler feed. We also read about making up salads and hard-boiled eggs for the bird! So glad I wrote today!
  18. I've had them before - they're not very good though - I found them to be really dry!
  19. Yeah, I did. I saw people talking about "giving away" their animals because of the feed, etc. It just seemed really extreme to me and made me sad (!
  20. My daughter got a cockatiel - very sweet animal. I am a biopsy-diagnosed celiac who is very careful about everything but trying not to be obsessive AT ALL (which is so damn hard as a celiac). Can anyone recommend bird-seed that has no wheat in it? This is really irking me...do any you also have pets? We have dogs on a gluten free diet because I kiss...

  22. Hi Patti!!
  23. Hi guys, Hope your holidays were awesome. I have a question...I had to go on a business trip from last Thursday until this past Sunday...I just noticed the past two days that I've been having stomach upset...I tried to eat the best I could while I was away but I'm thinking I may have been cross-contaminated... It's been several months since I've had...
  24. Bentonite clay? NEVER heard of this - going to go read about it right now!!!!!!!!!
  25. Funny you right this! I just got glutened this weekend and feel AWFUL. What I generally make for myself and am going to eat in small portions is plain rice, ground beef and some cheddar cheese - very bland but gives me some iron and protein to stay stable...seems to settle my stomach as well...When I was first diagnosed my doctor suggested (even for D...
