  4. Gads--me too! It's been right around 90 for the past couple of weeks (wif substantial humidity), and the forecast is for it to be in the mid 90's by the weekend. But, that's TexAss. I phorgot to tell youse guys--2 nights ago I was just about to fall asleep and thought I saw something in the corner of me eye. I turned around and looked,...
  5. Millet is gluten-free--the person was most likely intolerant to it.
  6. It all depends on what your symptoms are, since all you can really do is treat those....I use Immodium and Extra Strength Bufferin.
  7. They'd just end up in more boxes!! Tis a vicious cycle.....
  8. It's a shame--Burt's Bees used to be very helpful before it was bought out by Clorox. I recently returned a shampoo and conditioner, the same variety I'd been using for years, because when I got home I noticed they had changed the formula and substituted "fragrance" for the natural oils they had used previously. (I happen to also be sensitive to perfumes...
  9. Looks like I was the first to vote! I voted 'both'
  10. Yep--it was funny because when I was unpacking the kitchen last fall, I didn't really want to unpack all the stuff that is only used on occasion--I even told Mark we should just keep it packed but he said we might as well put it away. The thing is that after a while you kinda forget what all is in them....but I figure if I've managed to live without...
  11. Brown rice is gluten-free, but I would stay away from Quaker because of cross contamination issues. Lundberg makes their rice cakes on dedicated equipment.
  12. I completely avoid food made on the same equipment. I have reacted every single time.
  13. Aw Connie--I feel ya I get emotional and anxious when glutened--it's all connected. I would suspect the cereal, too. I think there's a cross contamination issue with it--some can tolerate it just fine but as Steph said, those of us who are super sensitive can't do most "gluten-free" processed foods--at least the mainstream brands. I went completely...

  16. Hi Spudz, To insure the most accurate result possible, you should be eating the equivalent of at least 3-4 slices of wheat bread a day for at least 3-4 months. If you are tested while on a gluten-free diet, the results will most likely be negative regardless. A Celiac Screen, or Celiac Panel as it's sometimes called, checks for auto-antibodies. More...
  17. Don't read that phast....just sayin I don't love it, exactly, but I do find I'm much better able to tolerate it than I used to be.
  18. I found this, it explains all about IgE testing-- Open Original Shared Link It might be a good idea to check back with the doctor who tested you. Also, the answer to your question is yes--wheat always contains gluten. Gluten (the type Celiacs/gluten intolerants need to be concerned with) is also found in rye and barley.
  19. You won't hear a peep from me Good to know You too, Niklet!
