The What's For Dinner Tonight ChatGeorgia-guy replied to jess-gf's topic in Gluten-Free Recipes & Cooking Tips I do have some wine at the house... As for pasta, I get Ronzoni or Kroger brand and it's $2-$3 a box, but it's just spaghetti, penne, or Ronzoni has a twisty noodle.

The What's For Dinner Tonight ChatGeorgia-guy replied to jess-gf's topic in Gluten-Free Recipes & Cooking Tips Copy-cat! That's my plan for dinner Sunday except it's gonna have some chicken and pepperoni on it. :-) As for tonight, it's gonna be pasta with broccoli, bell peppers, onion, red apple, and chicken. Not sure yet what sauce I'm gonna do.

ARCHIVED Is This Normal?Georgia-guy replied to mjcoelnc's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms The extreme tiredness is my first sign I have been heavily glutened. It appears within 90 minutes (normally closer to 30 minutes) and to me feels like I have been awake for several days straight. It is horribly impossible to fight off the sleep. However, with trace amounts of gluten (ie, a restaurant putting toast on my plate, then removing it), I do not...

(As I do not think I have seen any of your prior posts) Like you, I have had issues with my doctors believing things I say. It's been a long journey that has ultimately lead to me having to get an pay for blood work at a private lab. I do not wish that upon you, and I do t really recommend it. As far as what you can do...

ARCHIVED "our Mac & Cheese Is Gluten Free"?Georgia-guy replied to Georgia-guy's topic in Gluten-Free Restaurants You mean like Domino's? A dominos employee told me one day they have gluten free pizza...I laughed and said "you mean gluten free pizza crust?" Then examined why their pizza is NOT gluten free.

ARCHIVED "our Mac & Cheese Is Gluten Free"?Georgia-guy replied to Georgia-guy's topic in Gluten-Free Restaurants That is exactly why I went with the salad. And tomorrow I plan on calling and speaking to someone in the corporate office to get a copy of the gluten free menu, and ask them to do some sort of training (especially with the managers) on the importance of the gluten free diet and need for accuracy for people with celaic and NCGI, even if it's just a couple...

ARCHIVED "our Mac & Cheese Is Gluten Free"?Georgia-guy replied to Georgia-guy's topic in Gluten-Free Restaurants In the servers credit though, she was completely honest about having no idea what contains gluten, or even what gluten is. So I do give her props on that. But I am upset about the manager listing off false information about what is safe to eat. Can you imagine a newbie going there and being told the Mac & Cheese is gluten free, then ordering it and reacting...

So tonight I met an old friend who was coming through town for dinner. I spend my break at work looking for a new place to try that has a gluten free menu and found a cafe in the area that is listed on urban spoon as having one. I asked the server for a gluten free menu, and she said she would check with the manager to see if they had one printed out. ...

The What's For Dinner Tonight ChatGeorgia-guy replied to jess-gf's topic in Gluten-Free Recipes & Cooking Tips Today I was looking at urbanspoon trying to find a bakery near me that has gluten free bread, and I found a sandwich shop (lunch only) that has gluten free bread, and a cafe that said they have a gluten free menu. I decided to check out the cafe since I wanted something other than a salad and I didn't want to cook. They didn't have a gluten-free menu printed...

ARCHIVED Chronic Numbness In Hands, Feet, Arms, And LegsGeorgia-guy posted a topic in Related Issues & Disorders So I've noticed if I cross my legs, or bend my arms (even just for a few seconds) then whatever limb I'm bending goes numb and then starts to tingle. It even happens sometimes when I'm just laying or standing with my limbs straight. What could be causing this? Should I be drastically worried?

The What's For Dinner Tonight ChatGeorgia-guy replied to jess-gf's topic in Gluten-Free Recipes & Cooking Tips I don't remember what a day off is lately. Maybe I will be able to figure it out next Tuesday. I cook some things intending leftovers, but then they disappear somehow. :-/ Most leftovers would need a microwave to reheat well, and I don't have one of those.

The What's For Dinner Tonight ChatGeorgia-guy replied to jess-gf's topic in Gluten-Free Recipes & Cooking Tips Everyone is all talking bout this good food, and I'm sitting here thinking "it would take too much energy to make just 1 serving of that". Maybe I'm just too lazy. But any who, today I had some Diaya cheese pizza and added bell peppers, onions, and pepperoni. It was pretty good, but I'm looking forward to havin the time whenever I get another day off work...

ARCHIVED I Think I Made The Watch List...Georgia-guy posted a topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications So I went to Kroger to do some grocery shopping, and saw they had their store brand Gluten Free pasta in sale (only 20 cents off, but it adds up!). I grabbed 15 of them, finished shopping, and when I paid, I still had more money left in my grocery budget....so I bought the last 7 on the shelf. And since I'm a cheap person would do, I went back inside to customer...
