ARCHIVED I Guess I Have To Starve?
Noelle126 replied to frustratedneicey's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
I think in the end everyone needs to just understand their digestive system more. I know when I have had too much junk and not enough good food. I know the junk food isn't good for me and my body tells me when I haven't had enough healthy food. I'm not a huge junk fan but man sometimes during saturday football watching I crave the old stuff (like pizza and... -

ARCHIVED Headaches And Dizzy
Noelle126 posted a topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease
For the past 2 days I've had really bad headaches and will sometimes get light headed and dizzy. I feel like I can't concentrate. Are these symptoms of perhaps having had gluten and not knowing it? I just feel so icky! -
ARCHIVED Dreary Statistic!
Noelle126 replied to CMCM's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
No problem, I had wondered about it and so I went to ask. I no longer take the host at mass, but I still take the wine. I don't think it makes a difference really because it is all the same body and blood of Christ. The very sick sometimes can only have the blood and the dying sometimes are given a sip of the blood of Christ so I realized I could be upset... -
ARCHIVED Dreary Statistic!
Noelle126 replied to CMCM's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
I talked to my preist about the "scandelous" nature of Celiacs and basically if a priet is not going to take the host, when he believes that it has become the body of christ he is basically saying that it is still a matter of bread and not the body of christ. As Catholics we believe in transubstation: Transubstantiation is generally understood to refer to... -

I go blank all the time! I think my parents think I've kinda lost it because I will call home and then forget why I called and so I just ask them how life is and whatnot...to only call 4 hours later to ask what I first meant to ask! -

I've had Giardia...it is not fun and it took me about 6 months to completely recover. I got it while on Vacation and when I returned home I just got noticably sicker and sicker. I often times felt tired (similiar to mono), my stomach was in knots and was bloated and had the symptoms you talked about. You really want that to be checked though as I was...

I live with my boyfriend and I think him reading this site has helped...since I think I just snapped one day and was like "ok I'm 100% doing this!" and I think he got a better understanding with reading the message boards but also it is a learning process, we are trying to eat more meals that are naturally gluten-free instead of substituting...it seems to...
