  7. OMG.....cannot believe this coincidence... I was wandering through the house this aft and kept hearing a funny little noise, like a squeaky bird or mouse. Kept checking my shoes, then anything with a motor - - the fridge, freezer.... . .....couldn't trace it. And it was kinda moving, like from one corner of the kitchen to the hall. The dogs were non-plussed...
  8. Hear, hear! What do you care? You have your diagnosis. For many, many people, myself included, and for some professionals (but they are harder to find), the only truly accurate diagnostic tool for gluten issues is dietary response. False negatives on the blood panel are common - - likely a third of all negatives, and these are with people who are consuming...
  9. Nope, he did not have any genetic testing done. His brother was diagnosed with a positive blood panel about three years ago. We're certain it's on their mom's side - - she has had symptoms all of her life, but will probably always eat gluten.

  11. Actually, Soph is doing well. She is a very physically busy kid, with a lot of group sports going on, and she has many friends. Jack is a different beast -- he thinks and reads a great deal, doesn't surround himself with many other kids... .. ...I know that when he grieves throughout his lifetime, it will always be a huge trial for him. But camp will be...

I'm sure you will get ALL KINDS of calls re. Velcro... . ... . ......lots of good families looking for a mature, handsome boy like him.
  14. I'm one of the "lucky" ones who got a positive diagnosis from the blood panel, and damage visible in the subsequent endoscope. My husband, however, had all of the classic symptoms and had a negative blood result and negative biopsy. If memory serves me, his IGA number was low. He decided to spring for the Enterolab stool test, where the antibodies were...
  15. Many, many people, myself included, believe that the only truly accurate diagnosis of a gluten problem is dietary response. You have your diagnosis - - a screamingly bang-on diagnosis: when you eat gluten, you get weak, sick, rashy, and sore. How much more accurate a result do you need? I say listen to your body LONG before you listen to any "tests" that...
  16. Now, if those aren't lyrics to the newest country song, dunno what is..... ...... . Or it could be on a bumper sticker -- kind of a warning for those travelling too close, and/or to salesman who want to flog you some sheets.... .....

  23. Dearest Psillies I'm in a good moment right now, so I take these little pockets of time and do the things I need to do (help my mom with the financial stuff, eat something, try to exercise the dogs). At the top of this list is talking to you guys. Thank you so much, dear buddies, for all the support you have given me. I will be okay because of...

  25. Good morning, Psillies! This morning in our local paper there was a big picture on the front page of hundreds of Chinese people squashed together in the Yangze River, trying to escape the 40+ C heat wave. I was suddenly picturing our Sooooozle and Pahteigh's faces amongst them.... . How about baby blue bra and panties? Really lovely, lingerie...
