    I do that too, Jess. I do it because, as a Canadian living in the nation's capital, there is always a little niggling fear when I see a low-flying jet that we are due, that it could be our turn at any moment. That's what's new for me........the feeling of when?...... It is a sad, sad day coming. Every September 11th I go to one of our local fire stations...

    Yes, well!... . . On the homemade baked goods front, Sophie is getting, let's see... . ...approximately.... .... . . ..... . . .nothing. We're paying most of her tuition, she can do her own damn baking. Yup. By the time Jack is starting his undergrad, we will be moving into a one-bedroom walk-up in the burbs.. . . . ....

    DD is moving into her residence on Sunday. Not a long drive for us -- perhaps 15 km -- but we'll have two stuffed cars. What in hell? Why is she taking two enormous suitcases full of clothing? She gets on a bus, comes home and grabs her winter sweaters in a couple of months.... Anyways, her room is on the fifteenth floor of one of the main res buildings...

My guilty pleasure over the past few years has been the bodice-ripping Tudor sagas by Philippa Gregory. No one can tell the tales of British monarchy like she does.....     Well, I have a lot of songs on my ipod because I run, and music is, for me, an absolute necessity for fast times and a hammering heart. Too many songs to list or even contemplate, at times, but anything Lou Bega has sung is fantastic for the treadmill and trail runs. .. . .... . . ..
