    Queen Elizabeth and Ol' Phil landed in Halifax this morning, and they'll be here in Ottawa on Canada Day. Methinks the organizers should arrange to have her set off the first huge firework over Parliament Hill - - much like her smashing bottles on the bows of maiden ships. Am hungover and still full of gluten-free food.... . . they brought out special gluten-free dinners for DH and I AND about seven other people - - word is getting out, and people are getting diagnosed! Ten years ago likely no one would have had that special dinner order...

    Wow.. . . . ..we REALLY felt it. The epicentre was about 40 km north of Cumberland, just within the Quebec border - - I guess about 65 km from Ottawa proper. 5.5 on the Richter scale. How exciting! Electricity out all over the place... . ..no injuries reported so far.
