  1. So sorry! I've only been gluten-free for 6 months, so I know how you feel. I still have moments when I feel like that, but much less than in the beginning. It is a lifestyle change, but it's doable. Instead of feeling deprived, just hang on to the hope of how much better you'll feel! I'm 35, and I wish I had found out sooner that gluten was what was wrong...
  2. I also discovered after going gluten-free that I can't eat corn, either Some corn tortillas (can't remember the brand) that were labeled gluten-free made me sick. I also tried gluten-free corn pasta and tortilla chips, but alas, I can't eat them without having symptoms. So, it could be corn or some other ingredient that you can't tolerate. However, I also...
  3. I second the wholly guacomole recommendation. It's almost as good as fresh, and comes in individual packs that are easy to take to work. It's also labeled gluten free.
  4. I was only expressing my personal experience with different products. As far as the lotion, it was the only thing that I could think of that could have been the cause at the time. I looked for references about whether or not its gluten-free, and found these: https://www.celiac.com/forums/topic/9994-is-cetaphil-gluten-free/and Open Original Shared Link among...
  5. I glutened myself with cetaphil lotion once. Now I buy a gluten free, organic lotion that I found at Earth Fare. I also make my own that I use at home. I have used the red apple gluten-free lip balm, although I found that the EOS lip balm that's labeled gluten-free and much cheaper and can be found anywhere works just as well. Before I went gluten-free, my...
  6. Do you have recommendations for gluten free/ grain free products and recipe books, especially for baking? Now that I'm gluten-free, I've discovered that I can't do too many grains of any kind. That really limits my options, as most gluten-free mixes and pre-made things use corn, rice, etc. I've had to eliminate corn completely, I'm working on eliminating...
  7. I like the taste and texture of the Pamela's pizza crust mix (the specific one for pizza in the green bag- making pizza with the bread mix didn't turn out as well). But, it has to be kneaded, rise, etc, so it takes a couple of hours to make it. So, I've also been looking for an equally tasty crust that takes less time. Bob's didn't go over well. I recently...
  8. I mostly miss the convenience of eating regular food and being able to eat at restaurants. I have a busy schedule, so it's not always easy to go home and prepare myself something. I also miss baking, although I'm learning new gluten-free recipes. I've been gluten-free for 4 months, so I have found some new things to eat and am getting into a routine. I've...
