  2. I can totally relate to the antibiotic trigger. Not only did it spiral my health, it also affected my son. After a very strong dose of antibiotics for bronchitis we both could not eat anything without major diarrhea. We went on the Brat diet and that includes toast...big mistake. For 4 months we couldn't go anywhere or eat anything. We both lost weight. I...

  8. Hi, new to the forum. My 16 year old son and I are gluten sensitive. Haven't been diagnosed celiac, but have sent for Enterolab test. I usually have a burning feeling in my lower abdomen after I've accidentally ingested gluten. I will then have diarrhea for the day and have to take immodium to get back on track. My symptoms usually last a day but can be longer...
  9. Hi, I'm new to this forum. My 16 year old son and I are both gluten sensitive. Whole family has been gluten free since March 2005. Just wanted to add a gluten free bakery I found in Calgary. It's in Marda loop and called Earth's oven. They have the best bread and sweets. You can also order pecan or pumpkin(THE BEST!) pie for Thanksgiving, Easter or Christmas...
  10. Hi, sorry I'm new to this site. My son and I are both celiac and are travelling to Oahu in March. We've never been there but have travelled safely to other countries and just ate what we knew wouldn't contain gluten. To be on the safe side we have rented a house for our stay and I wish I didn't have to cook on holiday but it's the only way I feel safe. I...
