  3. thats what I miss " junk food" maybe it'll help me put some weight on, down to 103 and I'm 5' 6 " had to stop using my glider for fear of loosing more

  5. good luck tonight..I'll be interested to hear what she has to say, I seem to be having the same problems. peppermint is good for the tummy, bad for ulcers and heartburn...I ended up in the ER because of it, thought I was having a heart attack and the worst burning in my life

  7. stay away from peppermint..its the worst thing for ulcers/acid

  9. have you tried baking soda for the acid? some ppl have great luck with DGL I just started Mastica this week, suppose to help

  11. has anyone had these? are they good? I need things for a quick / snack lunch. I've been going all day till supper without eating because i can't find anything quick, I spend enough time making supper everynight lol

  13. Chelsea I hope your belly feels better very soon!! patti, thanks, thats what I wanted to know..as I said I eat a little dairy and the lactose pills I got from England work great. I just didn't want to mess myself up more than I already am lol

  15. well I knew that villi produce lactase and that they get damaged from celiac disease I was just wondering if eating dairy continues to damage the villi or should I say keep it from healing. sorry if my question bugged you..was just curious if eating it will do more damage

  17. thank you both lisa, do you mean it took 6 months to start feeling better? I've been gluten-free about 2 months and get so upset that my belly still hurts everyday, better though
  18. most of us are lactose intolerant because of the damage to the villi...my Dr told me its ok to have dairy if I take a lactose pill. I do eat a little dairy, mostly Kraft Cheese [lactose free] and once in awhile I have Romano but if the reason I can't tolerate dairy is because of the damage to my stomach am I keeping myself from healing or cont. to cause more...

  21. maybe because we're deprived of so many things now that chocolate is one of the foods we know are "safe" I'm not much of a candy person, give me a large bacon cheeseburger sub anyday..but thats out, so I find I'm eating more sweets. i'd give my left arm for a sub from the local pizza place..everyday I say I'm gonna get one, then I think about the pain, pout...

  24. I used to chew gum all the time, had to stop because it was giving me more gas and pains

I get this red, very itchy rash on my belly a few times a year.drs have no idea why. it starts on one side, stays in that spot a couple days,l I scratch like crazy, sometimes till it bleeds then it moves over a bit..till it gets all the way across to the other side..weird! there are no blisters..just red and very very itchy and scaly any ideas?
