  1. THANK YOU CYBERPROF!!! The yorkshire puddings were amazing. My family (non celiacs) loved them. Just like the real thing. I followed the recipe exactly and they turned out perfect first time. I haven't tried the second recipe that was posted, but thanks for the reply. Natalie
  2. Thanks everyone! I'm going to give them a try this weekend! Natalie
  3. Yeah!! I can hardly wait for the recipe. Thanks
  4. Has anyone made gluten-free yorkshire pudding?? I'd like to try for Christmas. What flour would work best?
  5. Whenever I make the Glutino cake mixes I use buttermilk instead or regular milk...it makes it really moist! It may need to bake a little longer though.
  6. Very interesting!! I have a terrible time giving blood. It takes them 30 minutes to find a vein and then it is sooooo slow. They also told me I could never donate blood...it would take too long. I was just diagnosed recently, I don't know if it will improve.
  7. Ursa, Thank you!!!! It looks amazing. My father is from Germany, so cake is a big deal in our family. My birthday is in a few weeks and I was just thinking about missing out on cake, well, thanks to you, I'm going to have black forest, one of my favorites. Natalie
  8. I'm pretty sure of my daughter's trigger. She was 2 1/2 at the time. The family was together at my Mother -in-laws for a family birthday. My son and daughter were playing with their cousins and my niece bit my daughter. It broke the skin, you could see my nieces imprint of her upper and lower teeth on my daughter's arm. A few weeks later the vomitting started...
  9. I had negative blood work. When they did the biopsy I was marsh 4 ( completely flat). My Entrolab results are in my signature.
  10. Sorry it has taken so long to respond, I have been away from the site for a few weeks. Just this past week I decided to order the Entrolab kit for my son. He is so tiny for a 6 year old and given his sisters and my Celiac diagnosis well, I want to see what they come up with. After that I may take those results to my doctor and possibly have him looked at...
  11. Hi, Last year I saw Dr. Michelle Peitzak (sp??) speak at a Celiac conference. She said you should introduce gluten not before 6 months of age but no later than 9 months of age. Hope this helps.
  12. I had testing done from Entrolab, my numbers are in my signature. I always had neg blood work. I had a biopsy done in May and I am Marsh 4 ( completely flat) and the doctor said it is one of the worst cases he has seen, yet neg bloodwork.
  13. 1. How often does your child get glutened? Maybe 2x per year if that. 2. How long do symptoms usually last? Major vomitting for 3-4 hours, then sleepy and faint, clammy skin, irritable, stomach and throat pain. 3. Can you always identify where the gluten came from? Usually 4. How do you help them through a glutening? Cuddles, cold cloth, rice or bananas...
  14. Mine blood work was negative, but I was Marsh 4 ( completely flat ) in my biopsy.
  15. Is it gluten free?
  16. I too am overweight... about 80lbs. I have steadily gained for the last 6 years, no matter what I do it won't come off. My daughter was diagnosed 1 1/2 years ago and in doing my research I was sure I had it myself. I had the blood work, it was negative. I had Entrolab testing done and I was through the roof. My doctor decided to do a biopsy given I have been...
  17. I use buttermilk in place of milk in any cake recipe... it makes it nice and moist. Natalie
  18. glad you had a good time
  19. Just wondered if anyone has tried this with the gluten-free setting? What recipe did you use? Natalie
  20. Hi Kareen, I'm from Waterloo !! Natalie
  21. I hate to say it but what you experienced is pretty common. Good luck, it will all work it self out.
  22. See my numbers below. I had neg blood work, positive biopsy.
  23. So Bare Minerals is okay? I've been meaning to call them. Do you like the product? Is it worth the $$ ?
  24. I'm glad to see some restaurants are at least trying to create gluten-free dishes . I would still worry about cc though.
