  7. How exciting! well hmmmm.....DOES sound like a promising offer! so you're saying the dingos could frolic in the yard? we could call it Yellow Dog Bed and Breakfast. Or the Dingo DewDrop Inn. (name change to The Dongo'd Out Inn on days when we're feeling particularly rubbish.) Um, but thank you, no, I will help you shop and decorate it, clean...
  8. well hello there, silly...... oh my gaaaaaaaaaaaaawd.........this is just so fabulous, I think I"ll have to make one of those things - - what do you call them, samplers? with the embroidery? and hang it above the toi-ty......
  9. Hi Lisa, just a quick comment on that, ALL foods lose some nutrition as molecular structure changes through cooking....but still maintain MOST of their nutritional value. (Tom? science on this please?) DONNA OMG I was terribly alarmed when reading your post....but kept reading and realized you'd had an injection......was about to DEMAND a trip...
  10. oh my Looooooooooooooord had so many quotes and posts and things went ALL CRAZY on me so will have to just wing it, here..... Carla - - - I think you and I would have great fun shopping together (and Rinne, too, w/ those cupboards and such). I can make treasure out of any piece of junk you give me. Jin is a riot, is she not? but words in Rachelville we cannot claim - - - VA JAY JAY. that one comes from Dr. Bailey...
  14. good work, people. Very cute photo of our friend across the pond. I got nothin' else. nothing'. <------ the vapid stare explains it all.
  15. well hallooooooooooooo everyone!!! pages behind...just have a small RACHELLING ALERT last night and this morning, I ate an entire bag (11 oz.) of Hershey's kisses w/ almonds. It's more than half a pound and not quite a pound. the whole bag. help me. [oh, happy to note no scatalogical effects today WHATsoever!!]
  16. that is a crackup. I don't think he *knew* at all that wheat was killing him, just as I and many of us didn't know......but it WAS killing him and so the great irony is that he painted his killer while NOT knowing it was his killer. When I have more time, I will write a small treatise on bipolar. It took decades of my life....and it really did...
  17. oh my gosh - - - YOU just wrote that, and it shows up??? that's a riot. well, since we're on the subject, I'll gently ask you to correct your typo... it's Celiac disease - - - not Celiac's, not Celiacs (unless you're talking about more than one - as in, "see those two Celiacs over there)...... sorry, just a huge pet peeve of mine.
  18. HI Ken, and welcome. I have always been fascinated w/ Van Gogh's story, having been a painter most of my life - esp. drawn to the fauvist, expressionist, and post-impressionist periods of art. I was also diagnosed bipolar years ago, struggled like hell with that......and now 1.5 years gluten-free, I don't really struggle with it any more. There...
  19. Yes, Grey, I thought the same thing after reading the above sentence.... I have heard outrageous claims by Mannetech, and this complete kook of a man that I know was promoting them also. Claiming they could cure Downs, Celiac, you name it...there was a cure. Sorry if I seem abrasive or strident - - just hearing the word Mannatech makes me bristle. If...
  20. Excellent work, Donna! Um, Tom, yeah I"ve been through the "Algernon Affect" for over half my life. It was called.....bipolar disorder. Up and down....up and down.....until in the last few years, there were no ups....until Celiac dx. and now - - there are downs but they are few, MUCH farther between, and don't last nearly as long...... Hallooooooooooo...
  21. Yes, woman, THINK about where you are!!!! reminds me of this curious email.....you know those ones people send that you have to cut and paste and answer all the questions? and insert your own answers and pass around ad nauseum? well....my dear friend in San Jose sent one, and it asked a question about four foods you crave.......um, I nearly screamed...
  22. Ugh. Happy Monday all! (not - - stupid back hurting like crazy - ZOIGS) Have to just add a little comment to Rinne's comment that our taste buds should/can guide us....oh dear lord.............. if I let my taste buds guide me.....here is what I would eat: mounds and mounds of choc. chip cookies w/ walnuts - - HEAPING MOUNDS Nuggets w/ almonds...
  23. Mannatech is a big scam, and they actually make false claims about all kinds of things, including nobel prize bestowance, and the fact that glyconutrients can cure ANYTHING. DON"T waste your money! Check this out: Open Original Shared Link
  24. I have a friend who had a cat that drove him a little nuts in the evenings, wanted eveyr second of his attention, so he would put peanut butter on the kitty's forehead.....kept him busy for quite a while. OMG there were things I wanted to say, including HAPPY FATHER"S DAY, and HAPPY BIRTHDAY LAURA, and, I was just reading along...
  25. Ditto - same question for me! I have never heard of back pain going away from removing gluten. In fact, my back pain worsens as I age -- has nothing to do with gluten removal - - there is misalignment of discs, spine compression, and severe sciatica..... while nearly everything ELSE has improved in my life going gluten-free , the back pain is a constant...
