  1. And they did not bother me!!! I had the gluten-free pasta for the first time and I was not so keen on it. Ut tasted really heavy, but like my husband said...you have to get used to it, some things will take baby steps.

  5. My specialist said that I have to go dairy free while I am healing and then I can introduce it back later, I have never had any problems with Dairy before..we ruled that one out. But I am wondering when I can start using it again? I am 11 days in and I think that its too early but my sons first birthday is next week and I am making him a gluten-free cake...

Spagetti for dinner and I noticed that the tomato sauce says Citric Acid and it is on my forbiddin list, but it is so many things, every where says that if it is made in the US its okay...I live in Canada and so I shouldnt eat it?? the tomato sauce that I have says Product of USA so I am assuming that it okay.   7. I noticed that Walmart has 100% Pure maple syrup so I might get that . Also corn syrup seemed okay when I read the ingredients. thanks.
  8. I read on here somewhere that Aunt Jamima Syrup was okay but the ingrendients list Caramel Colouring and this is on the forbidden list. Is it safe or should I not use it, I had some this morning?? Also what brand of syrup do you use.?? thanks

  10. Thanks...I love lists like these, they make my life easier. Too bad about the Lactaid as that is what my doctor said to drink, however I dont like the taste of it so thats okay.
  11. I totally feel the same way, I have episodes as I like to call them, sometimes maybe twice a year at the most and I was DX with IBS. All the while eating gluten since I felt better on a bland diet... lived off of Rice crisy squares...which I am really going to miss This all started about 5 years ago, after my wrist surgerys for Tendonitis, I had 3 of them...
  12. When I used to get sick, my ONLY symptoms where gas, bloating and a bit of diahrea...but only in the morning and once. Sorry...that does not seem like much to complain about. But his morning I had a bout of diahrea and that was it, no other symptoms, well no there were a few little bumps on my fingers (red,raised,itchy and sore) and they are long gone....

I to think that it is crazy that I have to change everything as my house is not a gluten free house and wont be, I did however buy a new toaster,cutting board, strainer, wooden spoon, flipper.   15. Wow, this is a big change. I my self a new toaster, stariner, cutting board, mixing spoons, flipper and I will have my own pantry all for gluten free. We do have regular flour in the house and the bag is sitting in my laundry room next to the kitchen.   16. I get those bumps on my finger too, they are red and itchy and they hurt. they pop out of nowhere and then diappear, actually I had one this morning. Maybe I am still getting glutened??   18. I am finding this whole Gluten Free diet a bit on the easy side and maybe that is b/c I am thinking that things are Gluten free and maybe they are not.   21. I have one of those opinionated MIL's and let me tell you, she wears the pants in this family. And she uses flour in EVERYTHING!!! She keeps saying that it will not be Celiac...I knew it would be. I am scared to tell her b/c she will think that I can eat gluten still and that I can still eat all her baking and I know that when she comes her she will roll...
  22. I think that so far I am doing well with no gluten, I have been writing down everything I eat so that I can keep track of any gluten I may get. I am failing at the no dairy....its in everything also, I have researched some and found some butter that it dairy free... I beleive its called Fleishmanns, and Earth Balance and also Nucoa....not sure where I am...
  23. Thats crazy b/c this just happened to me lately, it has since stopped but I figured that it was my pregnancy hair. My hair fell out with my first at around the same age as my son (11 months) and my doctor said that it was b/c of my pregnancy...maybe not!!!! Very interesting piece of information and I will be keeping a eye on my kids hair too.
