You're welcome. Hope it helps! -
Open Original Shared Link Found this and thought I would share as I know someone posted about where to find teething biscuits last week. Some of the recipies use "baby cereal" and you could use rice. And there is a guide for different replacement flours for wheat flour. Hope it helps!

ARCHIVED What To Feed An Infant With celiac disease?
mrsnj91 replied to lipreader's topic in Parents, Friends and Loved Ones of Celiacs
Oh a mom with a baby our age!! I am new to this too and have no idea!!! Totally at a loss myself! My DD is 12 months. In our case she wasn't eating much on table foods. I sometimes think it had a lot to do with her diet as the only thing she would pick up was the exact items you mentioned. Otherwise, she didn't eat unless I fed her and then not a lot... -
ARCHIVED What To Do First
mrsnj91 replied to Minnie2's topic in Parents, Friends and Loved Ones of Celiacs
I am kinda in that boat right now. We are on a wheat free trial diet with the allergist to check for wheat allergy but in the end she went gluten free due to an allergy to Barley, not being able to find wheat free oats (amd I think she has a problem with them too) and not eating rye! She has done well and now we go back to the allergist and I can't ask for... -

VydorScope-Excuse me...I wasn't giving anyone any ideas that anything is safe. I thought I made it rather clear that I am new to this and tring to find my way around. Obviously making mistakes. Perhaps I took your comment wrong and I am sorry if I did. I am not a dr. nor do I pretend to be. I am not an expert either. I guess I didn't state that clearly... -

*sigh* That is what I thought. I don't want to put her back on it. So the only way to know is to make her sick again. That simply doesn't make sense. -

ARCHIVED Tests On A Gluten Free Diet.....

I was reading the biop. thread and it had me thinking.... My DD is currently on a wheat free trial diet with the allergiest. (Not sure if you all remember my story but I am thinking it might be Celiac as we ended up on a Gluten Free diet in the end of this trial and she is doing so well. I am the "on the fence" person that posted for the 1st time last... -
ARCHIVED Medications?
mrsnj91 replied to mrsnj91's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
Thanks! I'll check that out! -
My husband wanted to know if we should be looking at meds (both OTC and scripts) before giving them to our daughter. She just got a script for some meds for an ear infection and we asked them before placing it and they kinda looked at us like we were a bit fruity. Anyone know?

mrsnj91 replied to Maureen73's topic in Gluten-Free Recipes & Cooking Tips
Well I am new here and can't say 100% from experience but I was given a list of things to look for with wheat/gluten base. I call it my NoNo list! And MSG is on it. Don't know if it is in all things made with it or what. But it is on the list and we don't eat anything with it in. -

One being Barley. So many questions and have no idea where to head!!! She has not been diagnosed with anything one way or the other yet. I am still feeling my way around... -

Really. Mod. starch is on the no list I have printed out. So that would be ok uless otherwise stated?? Oh that is good!! And I had jello pudding here but it was the instant choco. pudding. That make a difference? -
We went out to dinner the other day and I ordered my DD mashed pot. with gravey. My husband said it shouldn't be used as it was probably thickened with flour. I noticed today that there was mod. starch in the pudding pack we had here. *sigh* Are there any premade graveys, puddings, etc that are ok?? And my husband asked about icecream. I assumed that icecream...

ARCHIVED Birthday Party Help For Celiac Kids!
mrsnj91 replied to elfkin's topic in Parents, Friends and Loved Ones of Celiacs
Being new here I have to ask....What kind of pudding was that? I mean the brand name? I just noticed on a package of pudding here at the house that it had mod. starch and the dr. said that is a no no. I clicked onto a site I have ordered from and they only had this watery looking "custard". Do all puddings have starch in it? -
ARCHIVED Gluten Accident At School On Friday
mrsnj91 replied to e&j0304's topic in Parents, Friends and Loved Ones of Celiacs
Just a thought from a preschool teacher...I had some children in my class that had bad food allergies and one Celiac and we used special red plates for parties. Only their food, placed on those red plates could be eaten. They knew not to take from anothers plate. And those plates were done 1st and placed on the table before the others were done. This way...
