  1. I was born about 6 weeks early and had some heart problems. I have a son who was listed as a preemie because he was 22 days early but get this, weighed 10-4. I was not dx with celiac until this year.
  2. Thank you very much.
  3. So can we eat it???? If we don't have corn intolerance.
  4. MMMMMMMMMMMMMM
  5. I was looking up ingredients in some Schwan's foods and several mentioned maltodextrin, I am assuming(oops) that it is malt made from barley and it is a no-no. Am I correct??
  6. My freind always tells me she wants "to do" my diet because if she could lose 35 pounds she would just love it. She says this as we look at the Schwan's catalog and I am looking up gluten free ingredients on the website. Her "Oh my God I just love their stuffed tortilini, and their garlic bread is to die for(yeah I might if I eat it). Oh my gosh just look...
  7. Thanks for the menu. I looked it over and almost drooled.
  8. I always have some crackers(gluten-free) and peanut butter at work so if I start to crash they are readily available. We also sell orange juice in our cooler. Also like was stated cinnamon tea. This is kind of contradictory because if your hemoglobin is low the iron institute suggets cutting out tea. I still drink hot tea with honey at times too. Finally...
  9. Prednisone when taken long term can cause significant weight gain, face swelling, rash, and some breathing problems, although it is used as an asthma drug. Both my mother and brother(after returning from Iraq) took it for an extended period of time and both had the above side effects. Please be careful using it.
  10. I wondered where this pizza place would be too. Wouldn't it be awesome!
  11. I love the TV show Medium and although last night was a rerun the first time I saw it, it didn't mean anything. The oldest daughter was having a sleep over and her mom had to buy some special food for her "gluten intolerant" friend. Then later she went to the pizza place and brought home a "gluten-free" pizza. I was so excited my DH laughed at me. I thought...
  12. One of the first symptoms of my anemia, I found this out later, was I would get out of breath walking from one place to another that weren't to far apart.
  13. Your welcome

  15. Sure. This recipe makes alot of it so you either have to eat it several days in a row or give some away. I mix it all in a big That's a Bowl from tuperware in this order but the order probably doesn't matter. I use cans of petite diced tomatoes, juice drained, so when I dice the other veggies I make them the same size. 1 yellow bell pepper diced ...
  16. I love your picture. My maternal grandmother was the most wonderful german lady. I loved to hear her talk. Your picture reminds me of her.
  17. I have tried the Hol*Grain crackers. I liked them but they had a flat taste. You need to put something on them. I made a huge bowl of freash salsa Monday and we use it on alot of things. Tonight we are having boiled shrimp, white rice, asparagus and salsa.
  18. Thank you so much.
  19. I see most people have a quote, message, dx, etc. under their posts and don't know how to do that Help
  20. Me too on the peanutbutter. I could give up just about everything else but not my peanutbutter. I have a 5 year old niece who loves it too but if you ask her What does aunt jenny love you more than she'll answer---peanutbutter and she LOVES peanutbutter.
  21. I can go on a long trip and not worry that I can't make it to the destination without tummy grumbles or making it to the next rest area or gas station. Not sitting in church and having the tummy grumbles so loud you see the peoples shoulders in the pew ahead of you shaking because they are trying not to laugh. Not crying because you are so hungry but don...
  22. I have a friend(not gluten free) who is a tic tac addict too. I never thought of it before. She likes the orange ones.
  23. I'm gluten free but so glad I didn't have to give up PEANUT BUTTER, Chocolate, Coca cola, and jelly belly jelly beans
  24. We spent from Friday night to Sunday afternoon away. For anyone planning a Branson/Mid-Missouri trip this is what I found out. Steak and Shake (Springfeild)--manager(Delbert) greeted me personally after giving waitress my card, told me he had instructed the kitchen to cook mine seperately and "change your gloves so there is no chance of cross-contamination...
