  1. I've had people come up to me at church dinners and start digging in my plate with a fork to "see just what you can eat". I feel like going to their plate and saying something hateful but I don't.
  2. My husband and I went out for our 26th anniversary tonight. I was a little worried because of being so sick yesterday but it was wonderful. I gave our server my "card" and asked her to give it to the chef. She came back to take our order and I ordered a tequila chicken breast fiesta. It had tortilla chip strips and I asked her if they were corn or flour...
  3. A few years ago I was feeling very tired so I went to the doctor. She did a blood test and called me a few hours later and told me to get to the hospital NOW. Apparently my hemoglobin was 6 and by the time I got to the hospital it had dropped. I had to have a blood transfusion. Please do not take iron problems lightly.
  4. Thanks for the info. I feel like I need something but don't like prescription pills.
  5. I have severe iron deficent anemia also but instead of pills I get an IV iron infusion about every 6 months. This could be something you could ask him(her) about. I couldn't tolerate the pills. I hope you get to feeling better and get some good advice from the doc.
  6. I've heard of St. John's Wort but what is it??
  7. It's ok, I use this place to vent to. Last week I had a few days where everything made me mad, cry, of feel sad. I hope you get to feeling better soon.
  8. Thanks for your concern. I am felling better.
  9. Sounds similar. I was cold too and wrapped up in a blanket with it 98 outside.
  10. I am still pretty weak but better. Thanks. I want to feel better for supper b/c it's our 26th anniversary and we have big plans.
  11. Yesterday afternoon I had a philly steak sandwhich(no bun) from a place that is aware of my condition and tries really hard to fix my food. About half an hour after eating I felt the familiar rumble. I went to the bathroom and realized that I was going to be awhile so I left work and went home. After several trips to the bathroom, and (sorry) vomitting...
  12. I use(d) Allegra but have not needed them since going gluten-free. I need to find out if they are gluten-free.
  13. The last time I did our communion, Lord's Supper, I took my own cracker. The preacher said that that was fine and as long as the meaning was there it didn't matter if I brought in my own. We use grape juice so that was not a problem.
  14. I've tried them before and yes they were hard. I didn't know if that was how they were supposed to be b/c it was only a few weeks after I went gluten-free and I had had the others the week before.
  15. Ener G gourmet crackers ( I love them with Honey Nut cream cheese or peanut butter)
  16. YYIIPPPPPPEEEEEEEE
  17. Good luck. Iwas watching the fod network when they were picking last years winner and it seemed like they all had some type of gluten. I was thinking WHAT ABOUT US!! I sure hope yours makes it. BRAVO
  18. I think someone has my mind under survelliance. Just the other day I said wouldn't it be great if they made dark choc. M&M's I am going to have to try them.
  19. I am going through this right now. I was even supposed to have a biopsy this week but luckily didn't. The surgeon is just going to keep an eye on it.
  20. Horray for you!!!!!! I'd watch
  21. I love ginger ale and have not had a problem with Canada Dry. MMMMMM
  22. The other day my pastor brought me a couple of items he found and said he thought I may like them. The first was a flour mix, the second was Bob's Red Mill (I think) brownie mix. I was bored last night so I fixed half the bag. OM it was the best thing I have had in a long time. It was really moist, since I made half the bag and you can't use half an egg...
  23. I went to have the needle biopsy today and the surgeon said that there was no "defined area" to biopsy so he said to watch my neck for two weeks and see if it gets better. If it does then I do not have to go back, if not he wants a ct scan then a biopsy. All the worry for nothing. Thanks for all the prayer and thoughts.
  24. Please remember me tomorrow when I have the needle biopsy on my neck. I know its been posted before but I am really trying not to worry, I am severely needle phobic, but it doesn't work long. I am strangely not as worried about the results as the biopsy itelf.
  25. I was at a dinner recently for the chamber of commerce when the county auditor, who was a guest, looked at my plate and saw I had a mini ear of corn on the cob and a bit of salad. She said "You must be afraid to get spagetti sauce and noodles all over you before going back to work." I told her that was not the reason for not eating spagetti and garlic bread...
