  1. I was told by a waitress one time that she knew I couldn't have bread but my salad was ok because it had croutons on it, LOL, by the way it was my hubby's salad anyway.
  2. Happy Birthday
  3. I have not been diagnosed with Crohns just celiac but I did and still do at times have severe abdominal pain. After going gluten free it took me a long while not to have pain all the time. It did get better though as time went on. Good luck.
  4. Thanks for the info. I think I will ask about sedation mostly because I hate needles.
  5. About 6 weeks ago my right hip started to hurt and has been so since. I had to go to my doctor for my yearly, when I metioned it to him. He asked me to go to his other office and get an xray. I did and the technician told me to have a seat because she wanted him to talk to me. He came and to see me and showed me the xray and asked me when I broke...
  6. I, too, am allergic to many band-aids and tapes. When I had surgery 9 months ago it was hard to keep the scar covered with the tape they used but it was the only one that didn't make me blister up. When I do blood they also just use the paper tape.
  7. I love Namaste Vanilla or Chocolate cake mixes. I serve those all the time to my non-gluten-free family and they love them too.
  8. LOL at the Cocoa Pebbles I love cereal before bed and am getting tired of the Pebbles choices. I can't wait to try them.
  9. That was so sweet. I had to put my "Bandit" to sleep recently and this was a much neeeded boost. Thank you.
  10. Muchas gracias. I love guacamole.
  11. In the last few months I have finally began to feel "normal". I had surgery in July to remove 18 inches of intestines that were damaged and now I feel pretty good. Good luck to you.
  12. You, your family, and all are in my thoughts and prayers. (((((hugs)))))
  13. Tomorrow is my 2 year anniversary going gluten free. I do not know how I could have made it the last two years with the support of this awesome group. I have a doctors...
  14. I, too, have hypoglycemia. It used to be really bad. I did the 5 hour glucose test and was shown to be. The doctor however was skeptical, even when between the 3 and 4 hour I passed out in the waiting room. It has gotten alot better but I do have to eat every 2-3 hours.
  15. Thanks for the help. I do not get alot of sleep but I never really do sleep well at night. I will try adding some more protein the next few days. Thanks again for the info. It is good to know that it isn't something that no one else has ever had.
  16. Sounds YUMMY!
  17. Yesterday I started seeing what I thought was flies. It only happened a handful of times but it was just kind of strange to me. It has happened at least once today. Any idea what this is?? I have a Dr. appt. on Tuesday. I feel fine it's just kind of odd. Thanks for any info.
  18. Thanks so much for all the help
  19. Thanks for the info. We go to the big hardware show at the Overland Park Convention Center every March and Sept. The two stores I saw on line were the ones on 91st and 119th. I went to the HyVee last time we were there. I hope it warms up too. I would love to get out and walk.
  20. Thanks for all the Springfield info. We go there several times a year and I appreciate knowing where we can go to eat. We went to the Steak & Shake near where Drury Inn is (I don't remember street names well) but the manager came out and I told him what I wanted and he made sure my meal was cooked right, I had a plain pattie and a salad. I was impressed...

  23. My heart goes out to you. I understand how frustrating it can be also. I too had someone tell me that they wanted to try my "diet" since I lost 50 pounds they wanted to too. They just don't get it that it is an everyday way of life for us and not just a " I am going to try this today" Your McDonalds comment was so right on. I would love to go get a Big...
  24. Congrats. Good luck and I only wish for you the best for the next year.
  25. While getting some Immodium not to long ago I accidentally knocked off a box of suppositories, I hope no one saw me (or heard me) laughing as I put it back on the shelf and read "Do not take by mouth"
