So it seems regulating body temp is a big part of it all, and crucial. I have to say I think accupuncture was what helped me in this area, working with circulation and moving stagnate blood chi, but I believe you can arrive at the same result in different ways. I also am so glad you brought up the lymph, I think lymph drainage is so important, and... -

OMG Rachel I am literally laughing out loud reading this! I mean who can really say, but it's kind of ironic don't you think, that so many happy positive things happened while you were wearing pink? For instance even in Feng Shui (sp?) I think it is common practice to attract love into your life by putting pink flowers in your room. So there... -

Carla, take good care of yourself and feel better. Donna, have a great Bioset appt today, look forward to hearing how it goes. Thanks Rachel for the good luck wishes. In prep for my appt next Tues. I was going over with my acupuncturist my charts that go back to 1995, refreshing my memory on some of my history and to see how I have progressed... -

HOLY COW, I never thought I would see the day when Rachel embraced the PINK I meant to ask my acupuncturist more about the value of pink in her energy work treatments- I will do this at my next appt and bring back a report next week. Hi TS and welcome, the other ladies know so much more about the lyme stuff than I, they have great advice... -

Rachel, I am very interested in reading about that Japanese yeast/biotin study (or whatever it is) . I can't recall if you posted about it here, I must have missed that or I am completely drawing a blank on it. Or maybe it was in the oxalate thread? -
ARCHIVED Pumpkin Recipes?
Green12 replied to cooki.dough's topic in Gluten-Free Recipes & Cooking Tips
Thanks Mango, I only seem to find one brand of organic canned pumpkin available in the health food stores here, and I think sometimes it does make a difference what brand you use. Yeah, the flavor is there just not the consistency, I guess is what you would call it. Walnut oil sounds interesting to try. -

All of these recipes sound so good! I have been searching high and low for a favorite rice recipe of mine, it's a stuffed red bell pepper recipe. There are lots of them out there but most of them use cheese and I am casein free, so that is why I liked this particular recipe I am trying to find, it didn't have cheese. I will keep looking for it!

ARCHIVED Pumpkin Recipes?

This sounds great Mango, I'm glad you had success with it. I tried what Carla suggested, adding the can of pumpkin to the Namaste Blondies, and it came out a little rubbery. I don't know if I need to adjust it (i.e. less oil) because I am at hight altitude? Also, what brand of pumpkin did you use?? -

I just hope it's the original version and not the re-make, please leave Jessica Simpson at home! How's the packing going Patti? I agree Susie Q does not look her age, no Susie Q hit 30-ish and just stopped. Susie Q defies time, and gravity. It's just something she does. -

Melmak, I am sorry you are having a really rough time. Hopefully your allergist can help sort things out for you. Sometimes it takes taking everything away to get a picture of what is going on and then adding things in one by one, lots of trial and error. Carla, I agree it just doesn't taste the same after not eating it for so long. ... -

Kassandra, Chromium Picolonate is usually taken to balance blood sugar. I find it easier to just make sure I eat protein with every meal and snack, and never sugar just by itself. After your very early protein breakfast you went several hours on the coffee, starburst, and an apple. With your busy school schedule, late night studying, stress... -

One of life's great mysteries, the meaning to Meat Loaf's "I Won't Do That" lyrics. I mean if you really stop and listen to the song....it's a clever riddle I tell you. Patti, you have a life!!!! Susie, sometimes when I have eaten something I am reacting to my pee smells sweet like you describe, I really don't know if this is from toxins detoxing or what. I was convinced it was maybe a sign of diabetes, since it runs in my family and I had heard the sweet smelling urine was invovled, but I had all the necessary tests run and I am not diabetic... -

Well, what worked for me might not work for all, but after so many years of chronic constipation I went straight into doing lots of enemas, and then later a combination of lots of colonics and enemas, and during that time I completely lost the ability to move a bm on my own AND became increasingly more sensitive and more sensitive to any and all foods. ... -

Sorry and/or my bad. Now that would be SILLY Daughter of the Light, Chuck Norris is a guru of sorts, a real-life MacGyver if you will, the only materials he needs to conquer the world are his keen senses, a karate chop, and a Total Gym....oh and a shirtless chest. -

Because that is what happens when Silly Yaks convene and put their heads together, you get Charlton Heston dressed as a Care Bear shooting chocolates at oompa loompas off of a Wayne Newton Float set to the backdrop of Meat Loaf songs.
