  1. I'm with you on the Robert Duvall and Sean Connery, and how about Armande Assante, Andy Garcia, Benecio Del Toro............Wayne Newton's face lift scares me a little Ooompa Loompas and Charlie and the Chocolate Facotry gave me the heebie jeebies when I was little.
  2. Kassandra, I can't say I am totally free of sugar cravings, I just don't eat it very often- and my body doesn't tolerate it well. When I do have it on a special occasion or holiday it is usually too much, and it makes me sick. I agree with Carla that the longer you go without it the more you get use to eating foods in a more purer state and you...
  3. My body does not do well with sugar at all, but I love it so and it's hard to eliminate it, so I understand what you are going through. A book I was reading on adrenal stress addressed this very issue and it was suggested you take baby steps and go in stages, first by getting off the candy and the cookies, cakes, refined sugar sweets and eat fruit...
  4. I get strange things going on in my mouth when I am reacting to something (not limited to soy), sores and bumps, color and temperature changes, etc., so I think the tongue tingling is a possible reaction symptom.
  5. Karen, I have often thought about you, wondering how you were doing. I assume from your original post it meant that more damage had not set in according to the biopsy? That is really great news!! I hope that you will hang in there and keep searching for the answers, and there is always support to be found on this board in those dark down times

I do not, with my additional intolerances it's just too risky for me. I have had Chipotle, chicken and rice bowl, a few times with little problems but I don't feel 100% sure about it to do it very often.
  7. What kind of crazy parade is this?? Machine guns, Care Bears, tassels and Charlton Heston?? Oh heck if chocolates are involved, I'm in.
  8. This new practitioner I will be going to has a cold laser in her office and uses it a lot with her patients, I'm kind of excited to see how it works. I also have babies on the brain, I so want to get healthy to make it a reality.
  9. Thanks Donna, right back at ya I think that with my diet changes in place and the fact that my bowels are moving (which they weren't for years) things might fall into place as I start back up with the protocol. Are you ok with nuts at all? Lara Bars have a chocolate line, with cocoa mass. Tastes just like chocolate candy and might satisfy...
  10. YAY Mango posted This is a really good tip, I wonder if you can do this with different essential oils, like I am thinking relaxing calming oil of lavendar?? I might have to try it, see what happens. Mia, you are such a sweatheart . Looks like we are in the same boat. I am going to go to someone new, have a bunch of tests run, she...
  11. I like the Namaste Muffin Mix (the regular, not the sugar free) I have made them with different mix-ins like orange marmalade, mashed bananas, shredded zuchini and walnuts, or berries.
  12. My fave for a side dish: Cilantro Lime Rice 3 cups of hot cooked rice (long grain recommended, since it does not come out mushy) 2 small limes (or 1 large lime) 1 lime, zest of (all of one lime) 1/2 cup of chopped fresh cilantro 1 teaspoon salt (to taste) Once your rice is cooked fluff with fork. Mix in lime juice, zest, cilantro...

  14. So I had an appt tonight with the Body Scan (similar to ASYRA, different software) and I am a little discouraged My toxic burden is big time viris, fungis, parasites and 8 out of the 10 lymphs are blocked. I had been on protocols for all of this stuff for several years, but took a break for the past 5 years, it looks like I pretty much have to...
  15. Patti, I'm glad to hear you are doing well with juggling the move and your meals. I agree that planning ahead is key. Carla, thanks for the info on lyme "recovery" and about the lead in chocolate...... rinne, I'm all for "renutrifying" being a word I am so glad to hear you are doing better, slowly but surely, with the protocol...
  16. THis is a cute e-mail I got today, thought I'd share since so many here seem to be cat and/or dog lovers: To be posted VERY LOW on the refrigerator door - nose height. Dear Dogs and Cats, The dishes with the paw print are yours and contain your food. The other dishes are mine and contain my food. Please note, placing a paw print in the middle...

  24. I know the Rice Dream milks are processed with barley, but I was looking at the ingredient lists on all the Rice Dream non-dairy dessert "ice creams" and they don't mention barley. Anyone know if they are safe?
