    Hi All Yes, there are stronger enzyme pills made by prescription drug companies. In the Physicans Desk Reference book they are listed under "Digestive Enzymes." The major names of the prescriptions are: Ultrase, Pancrease, Zymase, (Lactaid is included in this list), Creon and more. If doctors are reluctant to give all celiacs these enzymes, alright...

    Jacque: I am on this message board because my husband has celiac disease. I do not have celiac disease, but I can tell you with much certainty that fresh and dried apricots bother my stomach/intestines too, so I stay away from them. I can also tell you that even though I don't have celiac disease I am lactose intolerant, so I do know what a celiac disease...

    we had same problem with Hain/Celestial. It seemed that the Cust Service Rep who was on phone had no clue as to what he was talking about. He was reading from a script that the cereal was made from gluten free ingredients. When pressed further, he could not comprehend "cross-contamination" question.
