  1. Don't know about how it would affect the SCD, but you mentioned Prilosec OTC in the title. Were you inquiring about whether it's gluten-free or not? My doctor had me take it for a few months and it is gluten-free.

  3. I would recommend that you join, everyone Open Original Shared Link I'm happy to send the list and am still getting requests. The site has a constantly updating restaurant list, recipe database, e-mail responses from companies are uploaded, as well as member discounts: 10% at Gluten Solutions: Open Original Shared Link 10% at Miss Roben...
  4. Why about the grill? Definitely an element of feeling manly in cooking meat over those roaring flames . I don't like to cook, period--explanation: ineptitude and perhaps a degree of laziness Sorry, Vincent, but we're outnumbered. I'm not going against the majority on this one
  5. LOL
  6. I second the Chebe: Open Original Shared Link
  7. Me too . I eat much more candy and drink more soda than I ever used to.
  8. Sure . To be more personal than a copy and paste...I've tried the Lara Bars and like them. I also like the Genisoy bars (most aren't gluten-free, though, so you have to call).
  9. It depends--it can be 15 minutes or it can be a number of days. Often a person has a timeframe in which symptoms usually start, but it can range drastically. Check back a few days.
  10. I think some rootbeers aren't gluten-free. Other than that, I think a lot of it is that it hasn't been tested. Coca-Cola, for example, hasn't tested Fanta, so they don't verify it as gluten-free. It probably is, but they won't say at this point. Always call on those generic brands.

    ARCHIVED Dating

I was going to chime in when I first saw this thread with no replies and then my computer froze up. Basically, I was going to say that the general concensus is that it weeds out the people you don't want to be dating, anyway. I have nothing much to add except that I did a quick search for dating on this site and here's some stuff you might want to read...
  12. Yes, many options: Open Original Shared Link
  13. Here's something from Melonie at a Yahoo group, Silly Yaks:
  14. LOL...I felt that way when I first came here and the "teenagers only" section was comprised of 17-19 year olds with the occasional 16 yr. old.
  15. Thank you so much! I will read it
  16. I'm too young to give you a personal opinion, lol, but my dad tried it (even though he isn't celiac) and he said it tastes just like regular beer. My mom, a teetotaler who just took a sip of this one, agreed. I've heard that it's very good on other boards--and Ramapo Valley, it's competiter, doesn't get nearly as good reviews.
  17. Oh, I eat Yoplait. Clearly labeled ingredients (Kraft division), I think all flavors are gluten-free, but if you're not sure you can easily check, no cc issues.
  18. If it's grain-distilled alcohol that's causing these "trace glutens" then there probably isn't any gluten in it. The wheat (or whatever grain) should be removed during the distillation process so it shouldn't matter.
  19. Cool . I haven't tried Lays Stax with it--only the original and the wavy lays. But let us know how it turns out.
  20. You could if you want, but I don't see why you shouldn't be able to give blood. If there are antibodies in your blood, they don't do anything, anyway. Celiac cannot be transmitted through blood like HIV or something. It should be fine, but I can't inform you as to the technicalities.
  21. Yes, they're so good. I haven't ground the chicken, but I just roll the egg and potato chips. Will have to try it ground, but any way you do it, it tastes great. Be forewarned: it looks very strange, possibly unappetizing the first time...once you know what they taste like, though, you really don't care I just bolded the time and temp for you, Vincent...
  22. I sent them an e-mail last night thanking them for being allergy/celiac friendly. I couldn't post until now, though, cause the board was acting up on me last night.
  23. Yep...gluten-free. Maltodextrin is gluten-free in the US unless it is stated on the label that it contains wheat, etc. Maltodextrin is NOT automatically okay in prescriptions.
  24. Duh! It's in the title...sorry for asking that
  25. It's fine...that's the best situation--where you truly don't miss the gluten food and wouldn't want it, anyway. For me... I would never again eat gluten and for the most part, I don't miss gluten foods. The main things that bother me about this, though, is that all spontaneity goes out the window. You always need to remember to bring your own food and...
