  1. No--I haven't used that site and I've never heard it mentioned here. Some commonly used sites include: Open Original Shared Link Open Original Shared Link Open Original Shared Link Open Original Shared Link Open Original Shared Link Open Original Shared Link ...to name a few....others could provide you with more examples.
  2. Here's the link to the Frito-Lays gluten-free list, updated March 1, 2005 Open Original Shared Link
  3. Here's a part of the official Coca-Cola reply:
  4. Come to think of it--yes...usually between 97 and 98.....
  5. Yes--your intestines wouldn't be twisting as a child and then all of a sudden stop--this is ongoing and will not be present without symptoms of some sort--which is why they usually find it at birth--often a baby has a problem, such as projectile (or green) vomiting. So yes--you can rule out malrotation. Congratulations, your intestines aren't messed up...
  6. Very good point--I have a celiac friend here in NYC and we live within....four blocks (less than 1/4 of a mile) so our parents coordinate when ordering online--same sort of thing, but on a smaller scale.
  7. Yes--well-sorta. At first I thought if it had gluten you'd see wheat, rye, barley, or oats on the label--then I found out about modified food starch, flavorings, etc. Then it was a little overwhelming--but even before, too.....I'm getting a little specific here, but--yes.
  8. Oh, that's so nice! Glad you could have a care-free meal on your b-day!

    ARCHIVED Doctor In Ne

This is a doctors list for the US as recommended by other celiacs: https://www.celiac.com/st_prod.html?p_prodi...-38105041667.75. Here's what the list says about Nebraska: Here are support groups, from this link on the celiac.com site:
  10. Yes--Tropicana has the convenient number policy. As a previous poster said, all 100% juices are gluten-free. I know this wasn't on your list, but V8 is also gluten-free. All softdrinks made by Pepsi, Co. are gluten-free, including Pepsi, Diet Pepsi, Caffeine-Free Pepsi, Diet/Caffeine-Free Pepsi, etc., Mountain Dew, Pepsi One, Slice, Mug Root Beer...
  11. Accidentally double posted--and just deleted the duplicate information.
  12. Yes--they didn't even come close! I'd write back and tell them this and ask them to please answer your question...and I don't believe there are degrees of celiac--you have it or you don't--some may have symptoms with small amounts and some might not, but all of us are equally celiac.
  13. Yes--I'm sorry--the company name was only in the subject of the message and I forgot to put it in...lol...
  14. Thank you --it's been 19 days now w/o getting sick--I haven't gone that long in over a year! Really? Who else has this? Also, I'm not trying to suggest that you have that-- do you still get that symptom or was it just in the past? If you no longer get the symptom, I think it would effectively rule out malrotation. If not--well, you said it started...
  15. Okay, thank you!
  16. The following companies list gluten on the label: Aunt Nelly's Balance Baskin Robbins Ben & Jerry Betty Crocker Blue Bunny Butterball *lists wheat only Breyers Campbells Cascadian Farms Celestial Seasonings ConAgra *lists wheat only Country Crock Edy's General Mills Good Humor Green Giant Haagen Daz Hellman's Hershey Hormel Hungry...
  17. Hi, I know everyone's been asking about some form of gluten-free makeup and I saw this list on another support group, so I'll post here:
  18. Hmm...I don't know--I used to have a strange abdominal symptom--not sure if it was celiac or the malrotation, but when I felt sick, all the muscles in my stomach would tense up completely--making it look I had really amazing abs and my stomach would....get sucked inwards--without me trying to or anything....I think that was malrotation, not celiac, but another...
  19. https://www.celiac.com/st_prod.html?p_prodi...-48105166870.36 This is a recommended doctors list from celiac.com. For Kentucky they have one entry:

    ARCHIVED Doctors In Nj

There's a section on the celiac.com site about doctors recommended by other celiacs. Here's what it had to say about New Jersey: Not sure if this is at all helpful....just wanted to point it out...good resource for others to. Here's the link: https://www.celiac.com/st_prod.html?p_prodi...-48105166870.36

    ARCHIVED Columbia Presbyterian

I go to Dr. Levy (but he only takes kids) at Columbia Presbyterian. The nutritionist you're probably refering to is Anne Lee -- Dr. Green sends all his patients to her if they need to see a nutritionist. Also, I had my surgery done at Columbia Presbyterian. It's a very clean, new-looking hospital--nice nurses--good doctors.....I would definitely go there...
  22. Oops...sorry--I posted it one minute too late
  23. Medaka, if you e-mail the companies and ask about their labeling, policies, you can find out. Richard compiled this list and also posted it on Delphi...I would assume through e-mailing or calling the companies.
  24. Yes--they'd told me that about the number, too, but I had forgotten about it after awhile. Thanks
  25. It's not that short. In comparison to how long someone will be gluten-free, (for the rest of his or her life) it is--but I think that one year is a big step--it's usually when symptoms are leaving or have already left, when you know the ropes of the diet very well, etc. I've only been gluten-free for a year, but I already feel like I know so much about...
