  1. so where do I find glutino bagels??
  2. The only "fagels" I've tried so far are the Kinnickinick (sp) and they aren't bad...just have to make sure you toast them well. I get mine at whole foods.
  3. I've seen gluten free hoisin sauce on the Gluten-Free Pantry website. Haven't tried it yet, though.
  4. I really like fructis curl cream. I called the company to confirm that it is indeed gluten free. There are a couple more fructis products for curly hair that I want to try so I'm going to call about them, and I'll let you know
  5. EXCELLENT advice!
  6. I'm Scotch-Irish, English, and Apache Indian. Go figure.
  7. I agree with what everyone has said here. That said, I do want to ask if you're going to try to get diagnosed. The reason I ask is twofold. First, the diet is quite tedious, and, for me, easier to fully commit to knowing that it isn't a "choice" but a medical necessity. Second, you may feel less self-conscious about sharing if you can "back up" what you...

    ARCHIVED Hummus?

spinach? makes me wonder, what with the e coli outbreak. You probably didn't get enough to make you REALLY sick with it being an ingredient in a spread, but it just makes me wonder. I'd take GFP's and nini's advice and make your own. I'm gonna try it soon myself
  9. I just called GM, and after being given the response, "always check the label" I insisted that the customer rep check to see if the current formula has wheat so that we could know once and for all. Upon checking, she returned to tell me that the current formula does contain wheat, and lists it on the label. I let her know how disappointed I am with the...
  10. Elizabeth, here's a site that I have found to be VERY helpful. Open Original Shared Link I don't see the drug you're asking about listed. Does it have another name?
  11. hey thanks!
  12. Is Feta Cheese okay? I think it is but want to know for sure. THANKS!
  13. this link comes from this very website, celiac.com and it says that Kahlua is safe....also has a list of other alcoholic beverages if you're interested. https://www.celiac.com/st_prod.html?p_prodi...-23106278065.ed Enjoy!
  14. Thanks, Angie! I'll be contacting them
  15. does anyone have the entire list of Starbucks safe drinks? I asked at our local starbucks this past weekend and the staff was clueless, so I just passed.....I didn't want plain coffee, I wanted FANCY coffee!
  16. one of my main symptoms if I get cc glutened (which is the ONLY way I do) is a killer headache which usually lasts for at least a couple of days. I'm guessing anyway that it comes from gluten. Usually the tummy issues and mouth ulcers follow, so I'm pretty sure that's it.
  17. Hi everyone. I was diagnosed in April and have been gluten free since. Felling so much better, I can't even tell you! I am, however, already stressing about the holidays coming up....specifically Thanksgiving and Christmas. It is easy enough to be gluten free at home, but outside of that....well you all know. How do you handle holiday dinners? It...
  18. Thanks for the cider brand names....can't wait to go shopping later!
  19. So hard cider is okay?? Can you tell me some brands, because I think I had that at a party or two before my dx, but I didn't pay attention to what exactly it was.
  20. Wow, Besty! What a great website....thanks for sharing that!
  21. Chrisser, I had that problem constantly before going gluten free. Did you have it before, or has it just started since you went off gluten? I see that you are very recently gluten free. Have you gone completely gluten free in cosmetics and toiletries as well as the diet? I'm probably not being really helpful, but I'm trying to help you get to the bottom...
  22. After buying my first bag of Pamela's at Whole Foods, I got the amazon .com deal as well. If your whole foods or other market sells it, you may want to try one first before committing to 6 packages, but I'm tellin' ya, you won't be disappointed
  23. I second nini--pamela's mix is the best bread I've tried. I discovered it after throwing out many a loaf of expensive gluten-free icky bread. Now it is the only gluten-free bread I eat. My husband even likes it!
  24. Hi Joanne. Welcome to the board. I've been gluten free for 4 months now and began reintroducing dairy about a month ago. I read that lactose intolerance often clears on a gluten free diet as the villi heal. I also read somewhere that lactase (the enzyme that breaks down lactose in dairy) is actually produced on the tips of the villi, so that makes perfect...
  25. Lister, that sounds really yummy! Thanks for sharing... I'm going to try it really soon
