  1. Poor you. We really need to work on this Racheling thing.
  2. I just looked at where you live. A little bit too far for our daughters to meet up.
  3. Rachel, It sounds like you may be on to something.
  4. Keeping a food diary is a great idea. I have read of many people doing that and being able to pinpoint other foods that could be causing problems. Do you feel noticeable better gluten free? Did you have testing done? Was there a lot of damage to the villi? If you had damage done casein could be causing you additional problems. Enterolab does test for...
  5. Miamia, Hugs to you. I can feel your frustration and I would be frustrated too. Didn't you just start the Keto? I thought that took awhile to start getting noticeable results. Don't give up! You will get to the bottom of this....it took some time to get sick.....it will also take some time to heal.
  6. Debbie: Operator of the degluten chamber; Security Morning all. Good to see you Ryan! I've got three weeks til my daughter and I start school and during that time will be trying (note: I said trying) to only be on here when I won't be teaching. A monumental task at that.
  7. Dave, Better be careful going back ....you may never come out. ...need a map. Rachel did mention that the first part of the thread had a lot of important scientificness though.
  8. Email them to find out the codes on the bill and send it in to insurance to see if they will cover it. Actually email them any questions you have if you can't find answers on the site. They are very friendly and helpful.
  9. I would highly recommend enterolab. They have different things they offer. Check out there site at Open Original Shared Link.
  10. It could be contributing. Soy and/or dairy can cause problems as well as a high histamine diet. The epic OMG thread has lots of valuable info the first 100 pages or so and some more good info in between the rest of the pages. Some there have found that a low histamine diet controls the itching. Go gluten free first and see if that makes a difference....
  11. I would also recommend enterolab. They have a full panel for gluten intolerance including a gene test and it used to include dairy at no additional charge. Don't know if they are still running that special. Price for the whole gluten panel is $369. They also test for soy/egg/yeast if you are interested for $199 I think. Open Original Shared Link for...
  12. I believe it is possible. Go ahead and go gluten free, you don't have to have testing done unless you want to. If you want something that you can use to test latter you can go through enterolab. You don't have to eat gluten for it. It is a stool test. Open Original Shared Link for more info.
  13. Celia, Now that's my kind of picture!
  14. Nice pictures Vincent!
  15. I so resign my position as Senator for Rachelville and would like to solicit the position of Town Cryer if the job is open. Lisa
  16. Chelsea, Your poor tummy not to mention other parts. That makes my tummy hurt just reading it and I don't even have bad reactions to gluten.
  17. Been refraining from posting the whole town list....but some changes....so here it is. Rachelville Rich farmland by the ocean, with mountains at our back to provide fresh spring water. (this is going to be a very pretty place!) Population (not sure haven't counted) Rachel: President; Building and Landscape Advisor; Shopping consultant; Ice cream...
  18. Definately going too far. Rachelville Vocabulary Update: 1. Relevation (sorta like revelation) 2. Spinach/Spinached/Spinaching 3. Good Googly Moogly (another spin on OMG) 4. Scientificness (science lessons) 5. Wordage 6. Pulled a Dave/”Dave” (rule breaking) 7. Cruel age (too cruel) 8. Presidentness (our lov...
  19. Mitch just called, so I updated him. He said as long as we don't pull a Rachel and eat 40 cups...since it'll be my 40th b-day (the 15th of Sept). The pastuerization of the milk products is what we don't like but we aren't comfortable with the raw milk either. We could make cashew ice cream too.
  20. Thanks Julie and Patti for the ice cream machine posts.
  21. Actually I was thinking money tree. It will be well secured and guarded by another branch of bats that won't let anyone in. Gotta have something for us treasurers to do . Maybe I should change it to treasurer/banker. I used to work in a bank....even though it was the accounting dept.
  22. Good idea....I might have to splurge and get one for my birthday next month. My parents usually give me money. I'll be 40.
  23. Name please. You can join Patti and myself as teachers. We could also make you co-juice bar operator. We have many who make jewelry here....you all have to get together and see if you want to make a job of it. PAY......did you say pay? We are a self sustaining paradise cult farm....and since this is paradise we will have a treasury that provides...
  24. It is that quick? We have the old electric ice cream maker. Need to decide if it's worth it for us to get a new one to start making ice cream of our own instead of buying Breyers when we do decide to eat it. I posted over in the OMG thread....but what was the recommended brand? Good for you!.....now let's see how you do tonight.
