ARCHIVED Omg...i Might Be On To Something
AndreaB replied to Rachel--24's topic in Food Intolerance & Leaky Gut
Hubby gave me the same lecture. We had lots of dairy this weekend with mac and cheese, pizza, ice cream, yogurt, cheese and Monday was a bad snack/meal type of day since we were running most of the day. We usually don't have the mac and cheese and extra cheese either, but we do have pizza and ice cream every weekend. -

I've been going through a rough time the last couple days. I don't know if C started the downward spiral again, but I've had bad abdominal pain. I'm hoping it's nothing more than C as we don't have insurance and we really don't have the funds to have anything checked out. I do feel a little better today but still in lots of pain. :( Hubby won't be... -

AndreaB replied to Crimson's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
Yes, the Serologic equivalent: HLA-DQ 2 (Subtype 2), otherwise known as DQ2 is a celiac gene. -
This person is taking the 10 days as good enough. It just bothers me because I know what chronic lyme has done to you and others and I'd rather be on the safe side myself if this ever came up for my family.

ARCHIVED Celiac Is Beating Me Down...
AndreaB replied to Joni63's topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease
The stress you're under is bound to cause some health problems. Have you had another celiac test to see if your numbers have come down. Any chance of cc? If you have another celiac panel run and the numbers look good then I would suggest looking into other reasons for the vitamin deficiency (unless that isn't new). The tinnitus can be metals, and... -
Carla, Is the 6-8 weeks the minimum for first exposure to lyme? I know of someone who was told 10 days abx would cover everything. I thought 3-4 weeks minimum myself, but Mayo says that the longer term abx is more harmful. I, of course, don't agree with that line of thinking and I don't see how a couple months could hurt to make sure the lyme is taken...

Sherry, I don't know either, but I would suspect something with the humaworm since it started after that. Could it be parasite related? -

Rinne, Glad the restraurant is working out. We don't mind if you can't be frequent, but we wouldn't mind a "hello" once in awhile. -

I'll have to let you know whether I guessed right with the beige. There are soooooo many things to choose from it'll probably take forever to figure out what I want. Oops, I didn't order any brushes. Will have to find something that will work in the stores and then when I place another order I can add some brushes. -

Well, I ordered the sample kit from the old website. I figured I'd start with something in case I'm way off on the foundation. -

Sounds like a good revision Donna. I gave up keeping track of these since I like your spreadsheet so much better. -

This is something I had copied over from earlier in the thread. Don't remember who first posted it. 18 kDa the specificity of this protein has been recently established; excellent marker for late infections. 9 cross-reactive for Borrellia 12 specific for Bb 18 unknown 20 cross-reactive for Borrellia 21 unknown 22 specific for Bb, probably really... -

There is also someone else who had either + or IND on bands 30, 39, 41, and 58 and was treated for many co-infections and is back to a normal life now. Those bands vary between the IgM and IgG. This isn't something to mess with, imo. -

April, I'm no expert, but with the starred bands you have I don't believe it would hurt to seek a good LLMD for treatment and further diagnosis. Also, if you're mostly indicating positive, but he doesn't believe you should treat due to "not many symptoms"....I'd see someone else. -

I'd prefer the more natural look or light coloring. I liked the Ginger Peach too by the description. Now to get my daughter to understand this. We've been watching some ABBA videos and the typical late 70's/early 80's look was more. I told her she can't wear makeup til she's a teenager....by then I hope she'll calm down and realize that subtle hilites... -

Are the prices going up for everything? My daughter had gotten a lip gloss at a Princess Tea she went to last week and we wouldn't let her use it as we didn't know what was in it. We plan on ordering her some lip gloss from EM (although it looks more like lipstick.....my daughter is only 8 so we aren't going with makeup for her yet) to make up for not being... -

Ok girls, gals, ladies (whichever people prefer)....... I haven't worn makeup for so long...... When looking at the eyeshadows, what do you do about blending colors, multi colors on the lid. How does that work? Does everyone use two or more colors now or do some of you still use one? -

I can't get through from Jukies link either due to the certificate warning, but I can from Donna's. Will go look around. Trying to match skin tone to foundation doesn't sound like a lot of fun. It will be real nice if they have an 8 item sample kit now. -

Paula, I'm so sorry about your diamond. When we had our rings we had them insured through our jeweler. We had to renew the policy every year or two....I forget now. April, Yes, post your results here too please. We keep track of everyone here who's had and Igenex test done. -
ARCHIVED Candida Overgrowth
AndreaB replied to holdthegluten's topic in Food Intolerance & Leaky Gut
Nowhere on the board rules does it say you have to have celiac to post on this forum. Many here do not have diagnosed celiac but do have gluten intolerance, no matter the cause of the intolerance. Rachel has not said anything that would put a celiac in danger. She's not telling them to go back onto gluten, just that if chronic candida still persists... -

Great news! Glad everything went well. I agree things are better when cooked or made by someone else. Rachel, Glad you recovered enough to have a fun weekend.
