  1. If you have the funds that sounds like a good idea.
  2. I'm cooking the chicken. I also want it back to normal. Obviously stuff that's been posted has had an attraction because so many visitors have been here. Maybe they are looking for people that have been helped by various treatments. Laura, It's always good to see you too.......you've been missed.
  3. I have a minor gripe....... I bought ground chicken breast at Wild Oats this weekend and promptly froze it. Bad enough it was from a rocky chicken, not a rosie chicken.....I just bought it to see if the children like it better than the ground turkey.....I certainly don't plan on buying it often. Anyway, you know how they usually wrap the...
  4. I don't think you're any different than anyone else. We all are drawn to what's working for people in similar situations. I'm always interested in what is posted by you, or anyone else. I don't always click over to the page listed, sometimes I bookmark it to refer to it later. I like the way you break them down.....you can see by my few posts that...
  5. It seems soy's the convenient thing to put in pretty much everything. If you don't mind spending the money Spectrum put's out a canola mayo. I really wanted to by the olive oil one but it has soy in it as well. I've pretty much gone to not using any mayo anymore.
  6. Jestgar.....tee hee...
  7. Carla, you are just as welcome here as anyone else. We can't make you stay if you don't want to, anymore than we can anyone else........but we'll be here if you decide to come back more frequently.
  8. Take the time you need Bev. We'll be here when you come back.
  9. Beth, I don't see the need to spend the money on the test unless you want to see what your numbers are. If anything you could get the gene test done just to see what your genes are. The dietary response on top of your allergies are reason enough to go gluten free. I know that some people get over allergy responses, but gluten causes enough problems...
  10. Patti, Seems like a lot of us are getting tired of the bickering going on in the rest of the board. I typically stay out of things, but I did try to tame some things down in the last few days. I'll be happy to come back "home" again for a reprieve.......boy do we need it. I'm sorry you took some attacks, totally unnecessary and unexcusable. Why...
  11. According to my doctor, whether you consume a small amount or a large amount, if your body doesn't like it it will respond. You have to be very aware of what's normal for you and keep notes. It could take up to 3 days to have a reaction. One poster has said it took 10 for him. The following is a paper given to me from my doctor after I went through...
  12. It's good to see you Rachel. I'm almost as excited for your appointment as you are.....if you can believe that. Talitha's upcoming one is taking part of that right now. Then I'll have almost a week to be sitting on my hands waiting for yours. Thanks for the update on Lisa. I've been concerned about her as well. As far as the negativity.......
  13. Oh, I wanted to add that with a lot of damage to the intestines that it will take time to heal. Many have needed to go dairy free as well for 6 months anyway to allow some healing of the gut.
  14. If you buy the gluten free counterparts things can be quite expensive. You'll want to buy some but try to pick you favorites and leave out the rest. Naturally gluten free foods won't be a problem expense wise........proteins, veggies, fruits, nuts, seeds. I think it's a good idea to stay on the gluten if your doctor wants to run more tests, otherwise...
  15. It is sad things have changed so much. Hopefully, given time we can get it back......don't know though. The main thing is to keep the thread alive and warm for those who may be thinking of coming back once the negativity takes the back burner again. I'll be waiting for your update when you're able to Miamia. Laura hasn't sent out her update yet...
  16. Welcome Mike. Sounds like celiac. How long til you get your biopsy results?
  17. We'll wait. You take whatever time you need.
  18. Yes. They'll check her sulfa pathways first. If they aren't clear it will be a repeat, otherwise a pesticide one.
  19. She's holding her own. Growly one minute, sweet the next. She's tired of taking her supplements though and has been grumbling a lot about that. Her next appointment is Thursday.
  20. One that I know of has changed since we were kids. I don't know how old you are so I can't verify that. I do know that the old DTP is now DTaP. As far as them being safer, nope. They may have had most of the thimerosal removed but they still have other harmful adjuvants which harm many children. They were made more potent than a lot of children can...
  21. I'm in Washington state and have just started homeschooling. You'll find some challenges figuring out a schedule that works for you but in the end you'll have more time where your child is not doing schoolwork and have more time with you. If you do a search on HSLDA they have a list of what requirements are per state. Once you get your curriculum figured...
  22. I fully vaccinated my first through the 6 year shots. Mostly vaccinated my second through the 2-3 year shots and barely vaccinated my last through the 2 month shots. If I would have learned earlier I would not have had vaccinations either. My oldest has started through some alternative testing called ART/ASYRA with LED treatments and has been found to...
  23. That may also be true. People, no matter what side they are on, can be very passionate about what they believe. What this board has taught me is to not take others opinions personally. They have their life, their decisions.....I have mine. I try to take from everyones experiences and make my choices from there. It is my hope that people can agree...
  24. This is completely true..........board rule #1 basically.
  25. Kim, You may not like what I have to say, but here goes..... There is a reason your son has so many intolerances. The best way to try and figure this out is through alternative testing. From what I have learned heavy metals, parasites, pesticides, insecticides, fungal, mold or lyme may all contribute to intolerances. Something else is definately...
