  1. Hi Loey!! *waving* No BE for me tonight, or all week He does contracting and his contract probably ends this Friday and he has two interviews this week. He actually has to answer questions during interviews - like a pop quiz- so he's studying this week. I passed my test. Guess I gotta stay in the class.
  2. I agree with Lo, just draw slash marks
  3. Baked yams/sweet potatoes? I do mine with ginger, but you could do the traditional-ish marshmallow thing. Black bean mango salad? brazillian cheese rolls?
  4. Gads. So not ready for another Monday. Did a ton of laundry yesterday (the 'new' clothes) and I still have a ton more. I have to go to work dressed up today 'cause I just can't deal with putting on my jeans again without running them through the wash. This weekend going to a show with BE on Friday, a girls birthday dinner on Saturday, Picasso on Sunday...
  5. A friend of mine (who's a vp or sumpin') cleaned out her closet and gave me two huge piles of clothes. Sadly the really snazzy one were too big, but they went to another friend of ours so we're all happy. I'm gonna spend the next several hours sitting on my floor sorting through my 'new' clothes and shoes.
  6. Where is y'all?? I got home late from my date, went shopping for a housewarming gift, and now I'm home drinking Bard's and eating Snyder's. I feel so ordinary. :D
  7. You say that she has malabsorption (as shown by the fecal fat scores) and is unable to consume enough gluten to conduct the proper tests (could be true....). She is on a strict gluten free diet to try to resolve her malabsorption issues and she is being followed by a doctor for this.
  8. I'm on the 'HFCS is bad' bandwagon as well. I don't think it's a good idea even in moderation.
  9. G'mornin' all. Met wif my new calculus tutor yesterday and he's perfect, as I expected (a grad student who was my instructor for matrix algebra). Going out w' BE tonight, and we're going to a friend's open house on Sunday, so he'll meet some of my theater friends. Still finding out fun things about him. I invited him to go to see the Picasso exhibit...
  10. One for every year. what she said.
  11. I've never tried those, how are they?
  12. An 8 UK is a 6 US Open Original Shared Link
  13. I was well consoled last night and again this morning. And I'm having Mary's Gone Crackers Cookies for Bev's birthday!!
  14. 'tis true. No point in actually finding out what's going on before you provide your opinion. Gads I am starving today. And I messed up my experiment yesterday so I don't have to finish it today. Maybe I'll wander down to the store and find myself a treat.
  15. yah, stop taking that stuff. Painting class sounds great. Prof gave me 15 minutes to do the page I missed. Not sure I got any more points (how the $%*&$ do you integrate y(e^(-lambdax-lambda(y/x)))/x ????) but at least I tried.
  16. Thanks for updating. A lot of people do read the threads without answering so I'm really glad that you shared your information with us. And also that your daughter can start her road to recovery.
  17. He apparently wasn't too hard to convince. I'm thinking 'console' requires a lot more energy than 'rectify'. I got a lotta tension to work out. We only got half the test initially, and then the rest, and somehow I missed an entire page. And it was the part on conditional probabilities, which, of course, is my best topic. I...
  18. Test sucked. I'm trying to convince BE to console me.
  19. humungoid test tomorrow. workin hard
  20. Rose, quoting statistics without providing the source isn't really credible. As far as we can tell, if you don't cite your source, these may be numbers you made up in your head. Please post where you found this information.
  21. Your whole evening sounds like a great time. :D Glad that broomstick was primed for night of flying.
  22. Just got home from dinner. No words. Just good. I'd be smiling if I had the energy. Gotta study, and my instructor from Math 308 agreed to tutor me in calculus so another smile goes here. And I think I got invited for thanksgiving dinner, so I'll have to figure out what kind of face that gets. I didn't accept. Have to think about it. Daughter makes...
  23. <insert multiple swear words> Both the prof and the grad adviser said I should stay in the class. I am gonna be working my frickin @ss off. Not happy (but kinda excited about the challenge don't tell anyone what a nerd I am)
  24. In a 9 x13 pan: butter (I used olive oil) the bottom put one layer of gluten-free bread (cheap, white. old bread would work well) spread about a cup of ham, cup of mushrooms, cup of chopped peppers (more or less depending on how much you like these things) Green onions would be good too. add a layer of cheese, I used Open Original Shared Link It was...
