  1. Only you can see it...
  2. I just got sent I can't believe how annoying these guys are.
  3. No, you can't make yourself gluten intolerant. If you stop eating gluten you may have more pronounced symptoms when you eat it again, but the problem was there all the time; it just wasn't obvious to you.
  4. If your child had not been eating gluten, the tests would absolutely be negative. Since he has been eating gluten, you need to have him retested, you may be destroying his intestine without knowing it.
  5. I'm happy that I've known you all for that long. Funny that even the newest people could, with several cocktails, start at the beginning and be entirely caught up on the relationship. Completely unrelated: Open Original Shared Link
  6. I use Open Original Shared Link. I think it helps.
  7. Colleges and universities are requiring a lot more than just grades these days. You never know what your daughter may achieve, but if you don't expect it over her, she may never try to achieve something beyond what she she (and you) see as her limits. It's been my experience that it's difficult to be more than you think you can be, but somehow you can...
  8. gads. I've told you guys waaaayyy too much Had a lovely mellow day today.
  9. Grilled steak and red potatoes, salad, and scotch. It was a great dinner, but I seemed to have a bit of a headache this morning. Must be the potatoes. Loved the bear cubs.
  10. He really liked Carla's naked/6 pack idea too, but then he said it would have to be wine or sumpin' since I can't drink beer. And I actually got dinner last night.
  11. my grandmother's black button up frilly top with a full length skirt. Very proper.
  12. mmmmmmm first time was not a fluke.....
  13. Julie, both you and your daughter sound like people who only want exactly what they want, so why do Christmas the way everyone else does? If she can buy what she wants during the year, give her a 'Christmas fund' to be used any time during the next year. It wouldn't be "her" money, it's her Christmas present that she gets to use whenever she wants. Decide...
  14. A make-up class? -- she is almost thirteen. Girls slumber party blowout? A stretch class that will help her with her dance moves? An entirely off the wall dance class, like belly dancing? A fab framed photo of her dancing?
  15. I'll have to make a to-do list.... 'uh, hold on..... let me see what the next step is....'
  16. I could actually do something like that..... maybe I'll hang on to the idea
  17. This thread is like the best birth control reading ever.
  18. better living through chemistry.
  19. How about starting with a mom-daughter day and collecting up all the things she got that she never used? Where I live there's an organization that takes donations for presents. Financially strapped people can choose a gift for their child for free. I had a bunch of yarn I was never going to use so I made knitting kits with enough yarn for a scarf and needles...
  20. What she said :D
  21. Dinner is tonight. I'm thinking 'cold, untouchable scientist' for the dress motif. I'm also thinking that the motif could be 'paper bag' and he wouldn't notice.... Must search the closet for something prim and classy.
  22. Keep the timing. Put your running clothes on and go for a walk so you are still exercising during your exercise period. Don't replace it with tv because you're tired.
  23. hmmmmm......the shear lace one? Might be chilly on the way over. But I do have a fab silky kimono. But then what happens if I'm stopped for a traffic infraction? Could be difficult.
