  1. Do you eat the skin of the chicken? In my Costco the bakery is right next to where they prep the chickens.....
  2. The genes are useless in terms of determining celiac disease or gluten intolerance. Consider getting a new doc.
  3. Is the link from a publicly available site, like facebook? It looks like I'd have to log into your sprint account to see the pic.
  4. Or Gluten was damaging your body so slowly that you wouldn't have discovered the cause until you were in a wheelchair from nerve damage, severe anemia, and muscle wasting. That trip out west saved your life by sending your gluten intolerance into high gear and allowing you to figure it out.
  5. You don't think adding "blowing hard black pieces" should be added to the list of things I'm good at?
  6. Floor is done! Ok, I have one tile left, but I ran out of mortar, and I still have to grout, but at least now the cabinets can go in. Don't think I told you that we had electrical issues at the show on Saturday, and at one point all the lights on stage went out. I turned the house lights on, and the director (with two bad hips) climbed the little bunk...
  7. This might actually be a good thing, depending....
  8. Well, he has tiled his bathroom, so he does know how to put his thumbs to good use, which is the most important thing after all. Is talking about home remodel projects another thing on the 'not to do' list for dating? I need an instruction manual.....
  9. Well, my next 'date' is 20 years older than the last guy. We're doing coffee so thumbs should be visible at all times.
  10. Crap.. I forgot to look at the thumbs. Sorry guys, I'll do better next time.
  11. These are pre-weightlifting smallclothes. I've lost several inches on my hips and lots of my underpinnings don't fit. But these are cute red with black polka dots and black lace trim and I hate the thought of tossing them. but I guess if they won't stay up at all on their own it may be time.
  12. he's a nice guy. Tries to avoid grain because he thinks humans aren't meant to eat it. Is much better at conversation than I am. It's just odd to casually meet up and talk to someone when you have all the "potential" choosing your words for you. A lot like job interviews, really, but with a less lucrative, albeit more enjoyable, outcome if it all works...
  13. i survived my first 'date' in about 12 years (unless you count Rachelle and Jesse). It was a very weird experience.
  14. I do have this. The key is to keep warm, not just your extremities, but your whole core.
  15. Maybe, but at least the kind with wheels so it's easy to drag along.
  16. Get over it. You are absolutely gorgeous. And you are an amazing person. You could be twice your size and covered in warts and you'd still be far above 99% of the population. hmmm. the latter. I'm so used to being a scientist that to have somebody recognize, and appreciate, that sort of softer side of myself is a very bizarre experience. I'm not...
  17. tomorrow I'll ask him to bring a candwich
  18. I disagree with this. The way I choose to eat is not something shameful to be hidden, nor something alarming to be blurted out immediately. I think it should come up the first time you talk about food, and be discussed naturally. If I suggested going out for ice cream and my date said "no, I have diabetes" I'd say fine, how about a moonlight walk instead...
  19. Is there a better way to do it? Awesome poem btw
  20. <snort> My little technician has severe body-image issues and I was looking for stuff on line showing photo-shopping of models to show her that what exists in magazines isn't real. Anyway, one of the articles had a link to a body image quiz. After I took it, I discovered that it was this on-line dating thing. I figured 'what the hell' and finished...
  21. oh yeah, and I totally believe in ghosts. When I went to Auschwitz I somehow ended up touring the camp all by myself. It has been left as it was found, the buildings intact, some of them with the collected concrete memories of the inhabitants - shoes, luggage, etc. Anyway, walking through the buildings and the along the paths, the whole place swirls...
  22. WIH is everyone? OK, so I sort of accidentally signed up on an on-line dating thing. I guy contacted me and it turns out he's a writer (published 'n everything). Anyway, I asked him to send me a piece of fiction he'd written and in return I'd send him a poem. Well, he critiqued it, 'cause that's what he does, and it is the weirdest thing ever to have...
  23. What are you eating? Did you add in a bunch of gluten-free substitutes? Or switch to more natural whole foods?
  24. I cook all my food on the weekend and freeze it to eat during the week. I also usually have something non-frozen for quick breakfast or dinner. On the weekend I eat fish (because I don't have time to cook it during the week). I keep some gluten-free crackers and peanut butter around for snacks or when I'm tired of cooked food.
