  1. Well, if you kept doubling back you went twice as far as everyone else! Congrats on finishing to you both.
  2. Not normal breakfast food, but I have a stir fry most mornings. For protein I use (eggs) shrimp or fish. Everything is frozen so I put it in a pan on low heat, take my shower, then come out and finish the cooking.
  3. i'm also basically paleo for non-weight reasons. Don't work out except for 1.5 mile walk uphill every day. So far, for the first two months, I've lost two pounds a week.
  4. jealous!! no lightening here. Also jealous of Patti's plumber with the lovely ballcock!
  5. Dang, some rough evenings for folks. Tom, did'ya wanna borrow Lefty? He just licked the inside of my ear
  6. You can get soaps for cleaning wool at a yarn shop. They might have suggestions for other fibers as well. Or check with a fabric store.
  7. Hi all. kitties are good. Max is getting better. Lefty is starting to clue in that I don't want him in my face (he's not changing his actions, mind you, he just knows he has to be quicker to jump on me ) Went to a workshop that served lunch. I brought my own, but I was hoping to supplement with some chips or something. Nope. Every possible flavor...
  8. Avoid the round ones Had a lovely conversation today with two other women in other labs about how socially inept we all are and how much we enjoy being that way. Thanks for putting up with my near incapacitation in communication
  9. I love the Brazilian cheese rolls. theres a recipe on the board somewhere, or you can just google one. I think some people make them dairy free. Try stuffing some with bits of cooked sausage or something and sticking them in the freezer (before cooking), then bake as normal, or maybe a little longer, until brownish on top. My box of potato starch has...
  10. I can't answer the DH part, but I know my psoriasis is very reactive to what I eat. So could be gluten related, could be some other food related.
  11. I'm going with B. At least he's well rested.
  12. Yikes! Em! You could end your marriage by arguing over topics so deep. Better stick to less controversial topics, like tongue shades.
  13. I suppose that's better than 'Prom'
  14. hmm, I offered up the remainder of my gluten-free flours on our local email group and so far no takers. Maybe no one cooks around here...
  15. 'mornin' Lefty is adorable, Max is starting to feel better, Lyle is growing accustomed to their faces. Amanda, you slap that Merck lady around, she's working for you! Without your help, her trial goes nowhere.
  16.  Aren't we allowed to quote what we thought we saw?
  17. Lactose is a sugar in milk. You could, theoretically, have only milk protein without the sugar.
  18. Lyle's still mad about the intruders, but somehow it's no longer my fault. Still keeping them separated. Maxi's cold is pretty bad, can't breathe through his nose, means continuous open mouth breathing and continuous sticky drool. Rotates sleeping spot from basket to couch (if I'm there) to under the computer desk. Leaves a puddle of drool wherever he...
  19. Actually Lefty has his right eye. And Susie's right boob was spared...
  20. You could always duct tape it to your arm... Lefty is a smart cat. Whenever I come around the corner to the kitchen he comes racing out, as if he knows he's doing something he aughten'ed (sp?) and doesn't want to get caught. Comes up, stands and puts his paws on my thigh asking to be picked up.
  21. fluids so far are drool and snot. Max has a cold and Lefty just gt over one. little gobs of kitty mucus on my floor. Lefty is a neck cat, must be in your face. Still much loose fur from the stressful journey, pthah. Max is a lap cat (at least now while he's sick). Despite the fact that they occupy different portions of my body, they do not care to...
