  1. Hi Lisa!! Soo tired today. Spent 4 hours pressure washing yesterday, after mowing the back yard. If it dries up today I'll mow the front, but regardless, gotta clean the little girls pen. Seuss, the little roo-roo, is still only crowing a few times in the morning. I hope he continues to just be a day greeter, and not an all day chatter. This afternoon...
  2. How much of a fuss do you want to raise? Write a letter stating that you informed these people that your child has Celiac disease, and specifically stated that she must be kept away from playdough. A short while later you discovered that not only had they given it to her to play with, but they were deliberately allowing her to eat it. State that you...
  3. Send him to GFM's in-laws. Y'all need to stop this contest for 'most dramatic story'. Time for a peaceful summer. HP was fun. 3D on the big screen. Met BE afterwards for drinks and went to see a very mediocre Doors tribute band at the Hard Rock. Woke this morning to a chicken chorus. One of the big girls was singing her egg song, and one...
  4. I'm ditching work to go see Harry Potter. ssshhhhh
  5. gluten intolerance is not an allergy and would not show up on an allergy testing panel.
  6. When I travel I don't eat at restaurants. I go to the market or a store and buy meat, cheese, veggies that I like raw, and fruit. I usually travel with a little water heater pot so I can boil anything if I want to cook, but mostly I eat picnic style.
  7. Sending hugs Lo-Lo  Hope everything clears up quickly.
  8. I have never regretted my decision to have one. Welcome to the "Thank heavens I'm done with all that crap" club. I'd also recommend Open Original Shared Link for information.
  9. :o Next time tell me where you're going. I'll show up early with a couple bottles of wine and a lawn chair. That sounds more fun to watch than chicken TV.

  11. Now that he's gluten-free, eating healthy should help him return to his normal weight. If he's very active, increase his protein, but I don't think those shakes and things are anything more than an expensive way to supplement poor eating habits.
  12. Yummy! And you have the bonus of just having strawberries and ice cream if you don't have the time. Other salads (make today - I'm all about minimizing 'day of' stuff) cole slaw pea salad (basically peas and mayonnaise and onions) carrot salad pretty much any veggie mixed with mayo or ranch classifies as salad.
  13. You could do a cold pasta primavera with rice noodles (make today) Open Original Shared Link Bean salad (make today) Open Original Shared Link standard tossed salad what's for dessert?
  14. I've never heard of toxic food syndrome and I couldn't find any reputable sources that discuss it. It sounds like one of those fad deals. As for gluten, it could be causing you problems. Stop eating it and see if you feel better. You might also want to consider cutting out dairy and soy, at least initially, as those can cause problems as well.
  15. Well, tis nuttin' compared to GFM's day(s), but I took today off and worked towards cleaning my house. It's never really been put back together since I started the kitchen remodel two or so years ago (which still isn't done), but now I have a spare bedroom to pile crap in store excess furnishings so there's no excuse for living in this mess. Still finding...
  16. Can you find me something next to a mountain?
  17. Good grief. I hope hubs comes up with some permanent way to get them to respect your decisions. Sounds like you deserve a real break. Can you assign them to clean the place you're vacating so they'll be out of your hair?
  18.   I'm glad you're checking in. Take care of yourself.
  19. Sounds pretty practical to me. And certainly doable.
  20. She probably used a silkie - I'm tellin' ya, they can't fly. It'll take forever for those tiny little legs to get to your house.
  21. I had some steak for breakfast, and there was a lot of juice left on the plate, so I mixed it with some quinoa flour, and stirred it up with chunks of fat I had cut off the meat. It looked like something that would be really tasty if deep-fried. Gave the big girls their share and brought the rest out to the teenage chicks. Chickens are suspicious of most...
  22. I thought she might be without internet for a while. Or perhaps too soused by the end of the day to know how to type.
  23. Have your parents announce that you will need to live on your own, since you keep getting sick in their house. Then announce that in order to help you save money for your own place, the family would be doing without {list of sisters favorite treats}.
