I hadn't heard of it but all of my symptoms were digestive. Have you tried it?

Welcome Jim. Ditto to the answers above.

Hi and welcome. It appears that we are a passionate lot. I understood from your post that you felt you had discovered a key to your wellness with the gluten free diet and wanted to share your appreciation of Elizabeth. I'm confused that others may not have seen it but then the internet is a funny place, even with emoticons. I've been...

Part 2 My great-grandmother travelled alone from Scotland with a pearl handled pistol, the women in my family have never been afraid of a scrap. I suspect much of my apparent antagonism towards science is precisely because of that pack of weasels. I already said I am saying nothing more about almond butter. But I will tell you... -

I'm not saying a thing. Well done Rachel. It is so important to speak up. It is also wonderful to hear the strength and clarity in your words. Wow, if you are this strong now just imagine what you will accomplish once you are well. You are very welcome and thank you for joining us, we like making new friends... -

Jin, your columns are a delight to read. I think Tom and I have stopped now. I hope you recover quickly. Well, you would have to do a challenge and we couldn't have that. Barbara, I found licorice tea soothing when my stomach was very upset, also ginger tea (just use fresh ginger, about a tablespoon grated per cup). I hope... -

Makes sense to me. Sometimes I think we are merely vehicles for the development of more sophisicated viruses. As for PERMANENTLY crossing the brain barrier, too late. Further, it is not enough for me to stop wanting that cup of coffee. As if there was any doubt. And what is this about neck and back pain? Mmmm, last week... -

Susan, sign me up too. I'm glad to have breasts back but I could do without the hips that go with them. I'm glad she understands this, didn't you say that she had had mercury poisoning? Barbara, how wonderful that you have a doctor who appreciates your intelligence. Now that you know, although it may take time, you'll... -

A lifetime project for many of us. Rachel, much excellent scientificness on mercury, thanks. Can you say anything more about why it is important? I know they offer the test at my dentists but I haven't done it. I have four fillings I need to have out but given everything else I've been putting it off. I... -

Well said, and I find it amazing too. To a lymified mind, perfect sense. I don't dispute science existing, or a preference for good science, all I'm saying is that I see it as another way of interpreting reality. Astology could be considered a language for interpreting reality as could any religion. I see the... -

He played there pretty regularly and he was great. Susan, I am sure he would adore you. Dawn it is. Clearly I do not hold science in the same regard that you do. I look at it as merely one of many languages that seeks define reality and reality being undefineable it fails. No absolute truths for me. ... -

This is would be better than giving it up altogether and it does make sense to use a rotation diet, it is just that I have so few foods to rotate. Donna, so glad that your massage went well, I hope today is a better day and not requiring so many Tylenol. I hope you drank plenty of water, as Jin says they can be hard on our bodies. And cute picture... -
If you are doing the iodine test that I am thinking of then check out Lugol's iodine, it is important to use it properly (you paint it on your torso, but where on your torso ?) sorry I am not really awake yet. Then you watch and if it disappears before 24 hours are up you are deficient in iodine. Here is some information for you. Open...

Seriously, I think it is awesome that you have seen such an incredible difference by cutting out soy. At this point I am not eating gluten, dairy, soy (other than soy lecithin in chocolate), nightshades, caffeine ( mostly ) and all grains. I have seen improvements through limiting my diet but thanks to Rachel I am beginning to understand that some... -

Open Original Shared Link And it sounds charming. Are you talking to me, imagine Robert DeNiro in Taxi? I have a confession to make. A particular sense of discomfort has not been with me the last few hours. Could it be almonds? It has literally been months since I have not eaten nuts on... -

I think that once we are ill anything we can do to support wellness is essential. For me, aside from texture and taste there are enough questions about microwaves that I avoid them. -

I lived in the bay area from 1978 - 1985, in 1984 I lived in the Haight. I used to go to a bar called Nightbreak, Chris Isaak was a regular performer there. Andrea, always good to have information. I'm glad to have an ally. I haven't had one for over ten years and even then I rarely used it. I don't like what it does to the texture... -

Sorry, I am more of a cook than a nutritionist. Steaming is better than boiling, I know that much. And some foods are better nutritionally cooked than raw and some more so raw than cooked. I'm not a lot of help. I respectfully disagree. We've talked about microwaves before and I know that people have come to rely on the convenience... -

I always liked North Beach. I lived in the Haight for a time and found clubs there to go to. I loved those years and what a fabulous city it is. I was there a few years ago and found it just as magical as I had in my twenties. And the meaning of dongo'ing is? Barbara, you'll find if you hang around for a while that... -

rinne replied to sillyyak's topic in Related Issues & Disorders
I'm sorry to hear that you are having to deal with another health issue, Celiac is enough. I have Celiac and Lyme and MS is often a misdiagnosis for Lyme. The problem with this is that MS is treated with steroids and steroids can drive the Lyme deeper into the body and make it harder to eradicate it. By the way, about thirty years ago I was... -

Hi, sorry you are feeling so badly. I thought the suggestion that a once safe product is no longer safe was a very good one and certainly the first one to check out. My only thought was whether or not the nuts might be giving you a problem, they can be very high in mold. I hope you feel better soon. -
