  1. Hi, I went looking for my Igenex results and got lost in early November which I am pretty sure when I posted my results but now I see that Andrea found them. Yeah Andrea. I'll be really interested to hear what he has to say. Hi Grump, what a great story and how wonderful to have a son to brag on. I'm feeling rather flat...
  2. Wow, that is huge. How are you? I hope she can be treated with detox and supplements. You don't know us very well. I suspect we would all unlock the window, in fact I am pretty sure it would be Beverly first, yoohoo Bev.
  3. In my thirties I had boils much as you describe and even one monster boil that was really about 11 boils in one, truly gross and can't remember what it was called. I found that garlic, which is a blood purifer, really worked whenever one would start to come up. I found that if I took about 6 - 8 capsules a day that it wouldn't come to a head but would fade...
  4. Dairy makes me feel mean. It ususally lasts for just a day if I have only indulged in a little. I've been off dairy almost entirely for a year now. If you have been eating dairy regularly it might take longer but I am just guessing, perhaps someone else will know more than me.
  5. Hey Triticus, Tua toga suspina est. Good to see you. I'm hoping you can. Sorry to hear you are in so much pain. I'm about 20% pain today but given that last year I was ususally about 70% pain it is a good day. That's good to know. Me too. Don't forget me, I am over...
  6. Lisa, 34 seems young to me but not so young as I was thinking. I was thinking that if your Mom is helping you work out how to get treatment then she might find it helpful to ask questions here too.
  7. I love a man that can't keep a secret. My sweetie can.
  8. Lisa, if I haven't dingo'd what I've read then you are living at home, yes? May I ask how old you are? Please don't feel like you have to answer, I just have the feeling that you are young and this seems like a very large problem to be dealing with for someone who is young. I am glad that your father has agreed to pay for treatment but I am wondering...
  9. Never, I am so impressed by the effort you make with meals. I think you make a really good point when you said how important it is to have food that you feel good about eating. I've tried a few times in the past couple of years without success. It was not unusual for us to go for a year or so without talking but then I...
  10. Jin, one thing I've heard is that it is important to have a diet high in protein if you are fighting Lyme. I know that it makes a signifcant difference in my energy if I eat more meat. I spent nearly twenty years as a vegetarian and I find it difficult to remember to eat as much of it as I should. A sure sign that I am not getting enough is craving...
  11. Interesting topic. I haven't seen the Colbert show yet but have heard about this book. My own theory is that the gut is the first brain and that the actual brain is for translating consciousness. My experience tells me that consciousness is only one aspect of how we experience reality.
  12. Please tell Morgan that three martinis simply leads to tripping waiters, where on earth was her mind. That's about as wild as I get Andrea. I never was much of a drinker so I don't miss it much. I have had one gluten free beer in the past few months and if the summer is as hot as yesterday was I may have another but just one. ...
  13. One thing to consider is that if someone where you work has been diagnosed with Lyme then it may be an indication the Lyme is in your area. I suppose they might have taken a holiday somewhere and returned with it but chances are it is there. It is everywhere now really. I agree with Carla and Donna about the testing through Igenix for Lyme, the other...
  14. Do you feel better on a gluten free diet? The Marsh test for damage of the villi only kicks in by the time you have reached the third point (out of four) of the destruction of your villi and by the fourth stage they may not heal. I think the testing is barbaric and if you had been off gluten for a time it might not show or it might show as "irritation...
  15. Welcome to Lyme cl... You know what they say about martinis, just have one because after two you'll be under the table and after three you'll be under the waiter. I will check it out, thanks. I love almond butter and have rachelled jars of it, there were times I knew I needed to get food in me but I was repulsed...
  16. Cici, hello and welcome. Yes, there is often a false negative for celiac tests. I am of the opinion that diet alone can be used as a diagnostic tool. It sounds like you are having a lot of reactions, do you have a sense of what else might be causing them? I can't eat grains, dairy, nightshades, sugar, coffee..... for me it is related...
  17. Donna, I am thinking nutraceticals are the Samento, Noni, etc. Humor is essential to this thread, it may even be the best medicine so Susan consider yourself a doctor of laughter. You are needed and appreciated. Tom, such self-discipline, good for you and yes I think you are right, the headache would have gone away.
  18. I'm doing better too. I've gained back some weight, enough that I feel like I could lose five pounds. I've done this through diet, nutritional supplements, detox, nutraceticals and making every effort to appreciate the life I have regardless of the challenges. I'd say I am about 70% which given that last year I felt like 20% and that 20% was...
  19. That's wonderful news Carla and I look forward to Chloe's results.
  20. Got none to offer. Just do it. My spidey sense is tingling. Still tingling. Carla, thanks for the fudge recipe. Andrea, I buy Nuts To You almond butter, it's a Canadian company. I've tried the Marantha but didn't like the flavour so well. Nice to see you. Sorry to hear...
  21. I think it has been hard for people to understand, apparently I was fat before I wasted away and I've received many compliments on my looks since being ill. They don't understand that they see me at my best or they don't see me at all. I've also been shocked by some I thought of as friends, one thought that I was on some kind of "food trip...
  22. Yup and it is wonderful that you are. Lyme Cl... is the short version of Lyme Clan, denoting the serendipity of so many of us on this thread with digestive issues finding eachother and then finding out we have Lyme. Lymies: Rachel, Carla, Miamia, Donna, Laura, Beverly, moi. Am I missing anyone. There are others we suspect...
  23. No it is Rachelville light. I haven't been in ages though so what do I know. Definitely. Seriously laughing out loud.
  24. Thanks for all the birthday wishes for my mom, we had a very nice day. Beverly, sorry the herxing is so heinous. Susan, glad you weren't gone for long. I'll have one of those magical mojitos. As to lasciviousness, I suggest you take that late thirty energy and exercise it before you find yourself fifty and preferring to shop...
  25. Rachel, I hope your appointment with Dr.Amy goes well. I'll be thinking of you. It is my mom's 70th birthday tomorrow so I'm off to celebrate it with her.
