  1. Since only about half of Lyme patients get a rash it is not critical to a clinical diagnosis. The key as I understand is having a LLMD who can read the tests accurately but I also understand that there are a number of people on the Lyme boards who can help with the results. Also my friend with Lyme says Dr. Nick Harris who runs IgneneX is very helpful and...
  2. I have a clinical diagnosis by a LLMD and a treatment protocol based on that. I still do not have my results from IgeneX, should be this week, and it will be interesting to see what they show. I'm feeling like an idiot now, I don't want to make you doubt your decision to go ahead with the testing because if I was you that is what I would be doing too. ...
  3. Rachel, you are right, Epson Salts do contain magnesium, you could use just plain salt. Also I read something about baking soda and detoxing but I didn't pay much attention to it because I was using the Epsom Salts. I have never noticed any significant difference but figure everything I do that leans in the detox direction is helpful. I hope you are reading...
  4. Now who told the joke about anal glaucoma, Susan? All I can say is I am so glad your ass isn't going into work Rachel. You need some time to absorb all this. I feel like I have run a marathon. It took everything I had to get me to the point of diagnosis and now I would like to curl up, go to sleep and have someone else take care of it. That...
  5. Amy, welcome, I am sorry you have had such a difficult time with your health. If I am remembering correctly Rachel said that auxi-gro is like steroids for fruits and vegetables and it is best to avoid any that seem super-sized, organic or conventional. Have you seen those monster strawberries? Like them.
  6. That's what I understand Andrea, in one study they did on 28 late stage Lyme patients, (did I already talk about this? EEK sometimes I mean to post something and then I can't recall if I did or not and I will not go back ) the 14 who received the Samento showed improvements and at the end of the study 85% had no traces of Lyme in their blood.
  7. Nope, a drop every two or three days until I get to a maximum dose of 34 drops, divided into two doses, a day. Once I am up to the full dose then I cycle on and off it, 12 1/2 days on and 1 1/2 days off, for 2-3 months. The time off the Samento is important because during that time the Borrelia transform back into the spirochetal form which is most vulnerable...
  8. If this information from the site above is accurate then it is tragic to think of how many are ill and do not know and may never know that they have Lyme disease.
  9. Of course you have to trust your body Rachel I just wonder about maple syrup as a substitute. I know sugar came up as a big NO for me but maple syrup is okay, not that I should be indulging too much. Here is more information on Samento: Open Original Shared Link After reading all the good things it says I want to "rachel it". I can't...
  10. Wow Rachel, that is a lot. When you can, read the Samento information, I think it may make you feel more helpful. Some great scientificness, thank you. I didn't realize that they were going to limit doctors ability to prescribe antibiotics. I am grateful that I am not going that route. Okay Sugar, sugar is evil. Lyme loves sugar. Everything...
  11. I wonder what Rachel had done, yooooo hooooo Rachel. Looking at it now, if I were you I would go for the full panel. I am glad that Hoffman was comfortable giving me a clinical diagnosis of Lyme and I trust his decision to order just the tests that he did but without his diagnosis I think I might feel uneasy about just having the ones that I have...
  12. And what rulebook is that written in? Dingo this, he might love to be called by a woman as fascinating as you and he might be hesitant to believe someone as stunning as you would be really interested in him. Did you flip your hair at him? I don't know anything about thyroids but I do know that salt, Himalayan salt, has given me my life back...
  13. Carla, Dr. Hoffman ordered the Western Blot IgG & IgM for me. From the IgeneX site: He did not order the IFA which it says is the general screen for Lyme, I am assuming he didn't because my clinical symptoms are sufficient for a diagnosis.
  14. Laura, thanks for the recommendation, for anyone else interested: Open Original Shared Link
  15. Yes, get away from the Pizza factory. The gluten in the air, and gluten is in the air in a place like that, will be enough to make you ill. When I was 23 I worked in a bakery and was sick, migraines started and brain fog, I would come home from work and fall into a stupor, I would sleep for a while and wake up feeling like I had a hangover. That was...
  16. People keep asking me WHAT I am eating and when I tell them that I am eating enough that I would have gained weight before, I know they don't believe me. When they stand back, look at me and say but you look really good I feel exhausted by the exchange. I know they don't get it. I am thinner than I want to be and I am afraid because I know that there...
  17. ### We'll be here happygirl.
  18. Laura, you look radiant in that photo, how special to have so many wonderful memories. As for the dress, I am glad it worked out in the end. I know what it is like to lose breasts and hips, though not quite to the extreme you have, it is still shocking. Last Christmas my sweetie gave me a $200.00 gift certificate for my favourite lingerie store....
  19. Open Original Shared Link It would seem that Samento would be good to take for quite a variety of problems including Celiac.
  20. I think you are totally on the mark but maybe cause some of what you suggest I have already done. In the summer when I first learned of this she and I talked and I made it very clear to her that I completely believed her. I also told her about Celiac.com at that point so it is possible that she has visited. When I see her again, and I am going to make...
  21. Andrea, she is sixteen, and though I say I am about to lose my mind I will think long and hard about how I will approach the subject. I did talk to her Mom at my birthday party and gave her Hoffman's phone number and they have the resources to follow up with a private clinic. The next time we travel to their town I will visit and let them know how I am...
  22. Rachel, yes, much of what I have been thinking although I hadn't thought of the Lyme triggering Celiac and people continuing to be ill because of that, you are so smart. Actually I had gone off in the direction of Tailz and was beginning to feel everybody has Lyme, there is no Celiac. I keep returning to how disease is defined and how we thing of...
  23. Evie, I have been wondering how you are, I am so sorry to hear that you are feeling weaker. I hope that you will be feeling better soon. I am keeping you in my prayers, I am so glad you posted.
  24. I read Cadillac Desert many years ago and found it a good read in addition to be informative. When we had our organic garden farm I was involved in water issues and was much more informed about the issues. I suspect many of them are the same but only more urgently so now. I'm hoping he is a PILLOW. Jessica, sorry to hear about the migraine. I...
  25. Laura, how wonderful, I'm teary too.
