ARCHIVED Omg...i Might Be On To Something

Just how much sugar, like if I had a Tablespoon that's not as bad as 4 Tablespoons okay, I have some happy bacteria going on. Friends came for lunch and I made treats and then I did what comes naturally to me, I ate treats. I think I am only really beginning to get how disciplined I am going to have to be. So, given I ate the treats Julie do... -

My eyes have improved since I started taking the salt/c and the "film on my eyes" is a good way of describing it. -

That's it Dingo Girl, by consuming salt we change our bodies and the bugs run for it. The Lyme Strategies web site has all sorts of disgusting photos of bugs that have left people's bodies, they were photographed with special cameras because they are tiny but they come out of people's skin and ears and eyes. Lyme likes eyes and eye problems are common.... -

Donna, I think sea salt is a better alternative to Norton's, especially if it has, "Vital Minerals and Exquisite Taste". I'm big on exquisite. I think that on the salt/c protocol though it is best to use salt that is not potentially contaminated by our ocean waters. I have been taking 9 grams, 2 teaspoons of salt, a day for 6 weeks and am now on... -
ARCHIVED Just Diagnosed And In Shock!
rinne replied to ptkds's topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease
Welcome. It gets easier and the great thing is that your health and your children's health will improve. Your children will not be faced with the consequences of undiagnosed Celiac. Please congratulate yourself on finding out, many people go for far too many years and suffer for it. Do not hold yourself responsible, you inherited this, it has been... -
Lots of great advice and yes please make taking care of yourself a priority. I'd just like to add that though your sons may be fine it is possible that if they have children they may have a problem. This is an ideal time to educate them so that if ever they have to deal with that they are already sensitive to the issues. And welcome, I'm glad...

Interesting thoughts Carla. I don't know if I was salt deficient because I was a big salt eater, I craved salt and ate as much as I wanted but it was sea salt and I am wondering if I was deficient in minerals. The Himalayan salt is loaded with minerals as is the REAL SALT (brand name). I suspect that everyone is deficient in minerals because conventional... -

Donna, yes to good and bad. I don't know that it is that straightforward if our systems are already compromised, as in: we weren't breast fed; received vaccinations; exposed to toxic chemical in food and environment; mercury in our fillings; smoked; you can see where I am going with this. Basically all of us. I think of this illness... -

Hawkfire, check this site out: Open Original Shared Link Lyme disease is EVERYWHERE, please excuse me for shouting. There is a popular fiction that it was "discovered" in Lyme, CT back in 1972. This is not true, it was identified in Europe in the 1880's. There is a fascinating story to Lyme. It is intimately connected to the rise of the... -

Yes it does. I don't like to scare people. I know that people can recover if they have taken steroids, it just makes it harder. I have ongoing sinus "stuffedupedness" that I always assumed was a dairy intolerance since I was addicted LOL to dairy I ignored it. I haven't had dairy now for five months and my sinus problems haven't... -

Beverly, I asked about the steroids because I was hoping you had never taken them and I know doctors do prescribe them for pain. I was guessing, at that point, that a rheumatologist would do that. Steroids, from what I've read, drive the Lyme deeper into the body and make it harder to clear. That is why a misdiagnosis of MS and treatment for it is so terrible... -
That's great that you don't have Lyme disease, may I ask how you know that? Your talking about Mexico has made it seem like a very good idea, I may just have to spend a little time there myself in January. Thanks.

Too tired, Rachel I read about the machine you asked about on his web site but I don't understand it although I wonder if it connected to the Rife Machine technology. -

Open Original Shared Link The last day I was in Calgary was a six hour seminar Hoffman does on what he refers to as the Seven Levels of Healing. He told people right at the beginning that if they weren't prepared to change their eating habits and throw away their micro-waves that they were wasting their time with him. You can see that he has to spend... -

Wow, I step away for like an hour. Rachel, I think we are going to meet. Actually I am thinking we all have to meet. I am so glad that you can eat ice cream, of course it also makes me wonder if I can too. I like the sounds of this woman you are seeing and you sound upbeat after seeing her which is great. I'm going to go back and read... -

Beverly, I'm glad to know that you don't have lupus or rheumatoid arthritis but I am confused about why if he ran a lame Lyme test on you he wants to follow up with a rheumatologist. I think I need to find out what a rheumatologist is. Just in case anyone lurking is looking for a link to Igenex: Open Original Shared Link I'm concerned about... -

I know I had to think twice. Laura the meal your mom is making sounds delicious and your friends are so thoughtful to send you flowers. How wonderful that you have so many people in your life that care for you. Rachel I am still thinking about how very few things you can eat. I'm glad sugar isn't a problem for you the way it is for me. -

That's very interesting, I have been thinking that anxiety rises if there is inflammation in the body and with untreated Celiac there is inflammation. -
I seriously know how that feels. You are not going crazy, you are ill and you need to be taken care of, you are right that you shouldn't be driving. This summer while riding my bike I drove straight into a telephone pole, one moment it was 15 feet ahead of me on the left and in the next breath I saw it 5 feet in front of me and I knew I was going to...

Open Original Shared Link I have a sugar problem too Rachel, and it has been hard lately to stay away from my home made banana ice cream, no dairy, no soy, no gluten with just a little maple syrup and just a little chocolate with only a little sugar in it but after reading that I am making the Lyme happy for FIVE hours I will just figure that into... -

I noticed a sensitivity to chemicals about 15 years ago and started to avoid them, I changed my diet to mostly organic and unprocessed food and that seemed to help. About ten years ago the problems I'd always had with wheat seemed worse and I cut bread and pastry out of my diet for the most part. About three years ago I started to have deep bone pain and...

Just to add to Rachel's excellent scientificness that MSG is an excito-toxin which affects the cortex of the brain and your central nervous system, basically it changes you so that you want to eat the food. It is linked to obesity and alhzeimer's and numerous other problems and recent studies shows that it has a negative impact on perhaps 40% of the poplulation...
