ARCHIVED Omg...i Might Be On To Something

I'm glad you will look. As to being busted for too many emoticons, I had to edit that emoticonfull post of mine, in response to yours, five times before it was acceptable. Lyme is a stealth bacteria, brilliant in its' ability to decipher each person's unique vulnerabilities, capable of subtly weaving itself into existing weaknesses, slowly... -

Open Original Shared Link I really wonder what testing they use to be able to state that, if they are the tests that I have undergone that show nothing then I seriously doubt it. This I think really goes to the heart of question regarding the diagnostic standards currently employed within our medical system. The alternative testing I received... -

Very cute. I definitely know that my husband does not like my cold feet and I've never tried warming my cold nose, that is adorable Carla, and in fact I never even thought about the fact my nose is cold before this. Beverly, great scientificness. It sounds to me like fibro is connected to inflammation. I wonder if in some people it could be as simple... -

Miamia, I am like you in that I never get D. I was always round before but now I can't keep weight on, when they weighed me in Calgary I was 117 pounds and I have been scared to get on the scale since then. Maybe 117 doesn't sound so bad but when I weighed 145 pounds I wore a size 8 and felt just fine. Now a size 4 can feel loose and that is beyond strange... -

Beverly, no surprise there were tears given what you have gone through and I am thinking this woman may be very fortunate that she and you talked, perhaps she should be tested for Lyme too. Susan I am so glad that you had a good day at work, my only concern is that you will have so much fun there we won't see so much of you here, and what... -
ARCHIVED Do I Belong Here?

I don't know, you aren't ringing any of my Celiac bells but I am no expert and no doctor and I might even be short on Celiac bells maybe it can hit people like that. I have seen a few women posting and talking about pregnancy and perhaps they will be along shortly and more helpful than I. I tend to think that many people who have gluten problems... -
Just inhaling flour can make me witchy, I suspect you are correct that you can't bake them treats with gluten in them anymore. I wonder if there are any easy, inexpensive gluten free treats to be made.

Laura, if you are still reading I hope you have a wonderful time, I know you must be so looking forward to time with Eric and I'm very glad that you will see him. Andrea, I think this supports my theory that the excitotoxins are like steroids for the bacteria. Yes, I think there are different manifestations of Lyme, I see three but I am just... -

Open Original Shared Link This is the link that Hoffman sent me, I had asked him if he had any kind of list with doctors who practiced integrative medicine in the U.S., and I haven't explored it yet so I don't know how helpful it is. Andrea, am I beginning to see a herd of horses? -

I am still mostly warm although my hands and feet are often cold and like you I don't tolerate heat well which I think also goes with Lyme, it would make sense that if the spirochetes like the cold they would not like the heat. The salt I am using is the Himalayan Salt and the Redmund Real Salt, they both come from ancient sea beds, the salt people... -

My grandmother was diagnosed with Parkinson's in her 60's but by the time she was in her 80's they thought they had made a mistake, the year before she died her body temperature dropped, she was so cold they couldn't tell how cold she was. Did you know that Lyme has the ability to lower a person's body temperature, it is a bacteria that thrives in cold bodies... -

And just a reminder that Lyme is a clinical diagnosis, that is what I received and I can accept it. I am still waiting on my Igenex test results but given my history of rash, decline in health and the fact that I have almost all the symptoms.... regardless of the results I am proceeding with the treatment for Lyme. Hoffman considered the Meridian Stress... -

Everything that Andrea said, thanks Andrea. I do the same, even trying to learn some small new thing can just seem so overwhelming to me that I'd rather just avoid it all. I've learned that if I can take things in, in small distinct units I can build my skill levels. Well okay I still haven't figured out how to get a decent avatar... -

I think these ticks have been with us forever and that we have changed and changed them in doing so. Our shift to a highly processed diet loaded with sugar and chemicals is, I believe, like steroids for the bad bacteria and for some of us that bad bacteria is Lyme and for others it is Cancer and for others.... so yes Carla, I think many of us may have been... -

Fiddle Faddle, I think that I was initially bitten back in 1984 in the San Francisco Bay area and that I was misdiagnosed but treated with antibiotics and the antibiotics slowed it down, in the following years I did have some symptoms but they were relatively mild. It was in 2003 when I was bitten again that tipped me toward ill health but I had been under... -

Like another friend chants, "die bugs die". That's good, I figure the salt and vitamin C is my way of posting eviction notices. But I just can't be angry anymore and I can't be bitter about all of this, it eats too much away at what energy I have for joy. Now I ask, what price do I pay for this particular energy. I see how I have wound myself in... -

I don't recall my tears ever burning with this acid quality before I got ill and that is nearly fifty years of tears. I just had to say fifty. Great post Rachel. It is rather awesome to really look at how deadly it is. I do think it is an epidemic but that for many people it has not been triggered in their bodies. Perhaps it was the mercury for... -

The important thing Carla is that you are doing all that you can do right now and everything you are doing is supporting your health. I know waiting is a drag but at least you will be having the right test. -

Rachel, it is astonishing to me that you have survived this, very presidential I would say. When I think of how you must of felt when you saw that doctor who called you crazy I could cry, this is why we must have the Rachelville Law. We must never allow them to make us believe we are the problem, we are not the problem we are the solution. I have... -

Yes, to the Rachelville Law, I would only like to add we must all cultivate a penetrating and scathing gaze to go with this law, pearls optional. And. I'll have a beer with that, whoops too early in the day. Julie, what you said made complete sense to me, if I understood it, you are saying that what is toxic to you is retained as fluid and detoxing... -
I've tried the rice wraps as a substitute with baklava a couple of different ways and although one had potential I really didn't think it was good enough to serve. If anyone has a successful method I'd love to know it.

### Sounds like fun to me. I think we have to learn to laugh at them, wouldn't that blow their tiny little minds? If I had more energy I would do it just for fun. I would make appointments with different doctors and present myself as if I don't know what is wrong with me and when they started to run their "there is nothing wrong with you", I would...
