  1. No, he thinks I should be retested after treating it and he thinks it may not be my only problem. Lyme Disease symptoms: Open Original Shared Link
  2. I talked to Hoffman today and he thinks I should treat the Lyme for six weeks and be retested, he agreed the bands were significant but he didn't know if the salt/c could have affected the test. This is the problem with NOT having a Lyme Literate doctor, Integrative or not. I asked him about the Bowen tests and he says everybody tests positive with...
  3. Julie, I think Bowen is a lab that is also considered reliable but I would want to check on that. Stephen Buhner, in "Healing Lyme" talks about the various tests and their weakness, it looks like there are new tests coming that are more reliable than the Western Blot. There is one that Bowen labs does now I think. He talks about Igenex as being an excellent...
  4. I knew that Richard was a mischievious influence. I hope your mojo comes home. In answer to the question as to a girl or boy, they don't know and are looking forward to being surprised. I am thinking, of course, that this is going to be the cutest baby ever, he has red hair and she is Japanese. I keep wandering into baby shops and picking up...
  5. I'm practicing restraint. Carla, I have had deja vu experiences but not lately.
  6. Well said Julie, you too. Yes, a Happy Birthday to Seth, will we see a birthday party avatar? Morgan, I think you should probably look for someone with twins in their family, it is obvious your mom is not going to be satisfied with just one. Yesterday was the due date for my son and his wife's baby, I am beyond excited about...
  7. Corn tortillas and home made seed and vegee spread sound good to me. I'm still on a mission to find large ones this week. I know it is bizarre to say I am happy about Lyme disease because who wants to be ill with such a nasty disease but the reality of my life for too long has been pain; a diagnosis with treatment is a gateway out of this daily misery...
  8. It is a fest isn't it? A friend sent me this, I think it was a post from one of the Lyme boards.
  9. Miamia, I will be talking to my doctor today about my results and will post what he has to say, clearly my tests are less positive than yours. I'm glad you feel that your doctor is respectful, is this the same doctor that Rachel wants to punch?
  10. I found this article very interesting, Open Original Shared Link Judy, did you say that you have had the rash four times? Miamia, please don't be hard on yourself for not reading your results sooner. Will you be seeing the doctor who ordered the test this week?
  11. I believe this was in reference to my not showing restraint. Ladies, I assure you I have been. What is even more outrageous is that the tests are not that difficult to read if you want to understand them. Stephen Buhner in 'Healing Lyme' says that if in addition to symptoms, " a Western Blot assay with at minimum two bands, one being...
  12. I don't know but it has been for quite a while I think.
  13. Miamia, when were these tests done? I wish I had been on earlier. Does anyone else know?
  14. Rachel, I do try to resist.
  15. I suspect it might be why Igenex sends out a copy of the results to each person who is tested.
  16. Miamia, OMG, I am sending you hugs right now. Yes to everything Rachel said. Oh, and Lyme Clan .
  17. Carla, a good day, how great. I don't know whether you checked out the link I posted about mercury but it might answer some questions. The person writing had mercury removed by someone who was supposed to be a specialist but didn't do it correctly.
  18. Great news Laura, how wonderful that you will have a family Christmas. I came across this information about mercury and Lyme which I found very interesting, here is a link: Open Original Shared Link Rachel, when I read this it became very clear to me why it is competely critical that you have the correct diagnosis. It is also clear...
  19. Hi and welcome. I'm so glad you found a doctor who was able to help you. Finally! This is a great site, lots of information and a great place to play with others who "get it".
  20. Julie Richard, I see by your new avatar that you are exploring your feminine side. Nutella is yummy but I suspect it has a fair bit of sugar in it. I'd like to find some large corn tortillas, perhaps that will be my mission this week, I was going to say today but then decided to be realistic about it. Corn tortilla, chicken...
  21. I think your co-worker is oblivious but then many people are. I bring my own food to events and depending on the event I may bring something to share but I wouldn't be making anything with wheat in it. I think it if it is a potluck then whoever is organizing it would be wise to accomodate people's diets. I am new to a gluten free diet myself and...
  22. I think you are right, I think they may be a real key to the puzzle.
  23. I think if I had gone to Naturapath I might be more skeptical about my diagnosis, I do hear what you are saying. When I realized I was in big trouble I wanted a doctor who knew how to negotiate both worlds and was trained in both of them. I haven't ruled out antibiotics either, it is just not my first choice.
  24. I'm glad you feel he really does get it Rachel and it does sound like he is the right doctor for you given what you've just said. Waiting is hard. I don't know if I am going to get this right and I'm too tired to go looking for it so please excuse but the way I understand it is that many people may have Lyme but will not get ill from it unless there...
  25. Hi and welcome. Could you share a little more information? Has your husband been ill for a while? How was he diagnosed? Does he have other symptoms? Do you know what his B12 levels are at? I do have twitches but I am not sure they are related to the Celiac, I have been thinking they are related to Lyme disease which I have also.
