  1. Drive by, pop in, a chapter of your memoirs, it is always good to see you. Evie, I am glad to hear that you feel the meds are helping and that you are getting better, you have been missed. I am starting to venture into co-infection territory and what a confusing place that is, first of all I don't know what coinfections I have but by my symptoms...
  2. Yes, because they can't remember their appointments which is why they need you to remind them. You may have to add another responsibility, reminding them to remind you to remind them. So nice to have you back Andrea. Rachel, that puzzles me, why would you be the only person she hasn't been able to clear? Do they think there is something in...
  3. Andrea, it is good to have you back, I look forward to hearing how your visit went. As for the Colorado tick bite yes to nearly four years ago there but also yes to a bite and rash in San Francisco 23 years ago. I agree with you that the politics of Lyme make it much worse to deal with than Celiac but I think untreated Celiac can be devastating...
  4. ### Untreated Celiac, as we see it defined, can be devastating, as devastating as Lyme I think. The question I have is whether Lyme is the trigger that stays on and burns out our adrenal system which then causes the cascade of health problems that people have. I read a stat, might have been posted by Rachel that said 10% of Lyme patients are Celiacs...
  5. They took 19 vials of bloods from me. Julie, I always enjoy your posts and appreciate how you catch up with everyone when you do. I am wondering about Andrea. YooHoo.
  6. That's as scientific as it gets.
  7. And who could blame you for that? I don't know, I'm going to go with my Lyme Clan theory. Carla, you do bring an increasingly rare perspective. I could not say that of my husband nor could many say for sure anymore so that is very interesting and does lend credence to my very scientific theory. As to the bit no no I am thinking...
  8. The h-pylori tests show that something like 80% of the population has the bacteria but only 15% get ulcers, why is that? There seems to be a trigger, what is it? The Klinghardt protocol starts out with a salt and vitamin C treatment to clean out parasites and it does work. The salt/c has its' own action against the spirochetes (Lyme). What kind...
  9. I hear you. I'd go with Carla's suggestion and stick with meat, fish, vegies and fruit. I went through a period last winter where even the shells of the green peas were hard on me because anything with a shell is harder to digest. I peeled apples, I avoided salads, they really hurt to eat. I looked up an ulcer diet and sort of followed it. I thought that...
  10. linds, how is your mother's health, father's, grandparents?
  11. That is interesting that you have been tested for Lyme disease, how did that come about? Do you know what laboratory did the testing? Igenex is the laboratory of choice and as we have been learning here it is critical that a Lyme Literate doctor read the results from Igenex. Maybe more critical than that even is that we learn to read the results ourselves...
  12. Hi linds and welcome. I'm sorry that you are experiencing such distress. Are you still eating dairy? Do you have any other symptoms which have kind of faded into the background in the midst of this gastric crisis?
  13. I'm glad to hear that you plan on doing that Miamia. What I am reading leads me to believe we are on the edge of the next great epidemic. Some of the researchers believe there is a gathering of viruses that at some point will tip us into crisis. This may not come for five or fifteen years but it is coming, as a species we will not stop what...
  14. I think you have a good point Lymetoo, I liked my doctor and he knew something of Lyme but just enough to be dangerous. The trouble is how do you find those happy patients when most people on the Lyme boards seem to be struggling to find doctors? I guess your list is the answer to that. Thanks for your help.
  15. Rachel, I read something recently about a detox from Aspartame, it is seriously bad stuff, SERIOUSLY. I'm glad you've given them up.
  16. ### When I looked over the site he was my choice too. Rachel, aspiring Voo Doo Priestess. Thanks for the great posts.
  17. I know I have said this before, I think I was bitten in the San Francisco Bay area 23 years ago.
  18. That's what I thought about the almonds too. As to your 10,000th post BRAVO!!!! As I understand it yes, the antibiotics would have knocked it back and they may also have given you a better chance to test positive on the Igenex Western Blot if you have it done. When I look back now I can see symptoms that began nearly twenty years...
  19. Georgie, have you checked out the list of symptoms for Lyme? If you just google Lyme symptoms lots of information will come up, sorry, kind of tired right now or I would do it for you. I can't take the heat or the cold.
  20. Laura, I thought the article was good although the emphasis is on ABX for treatment. I appreciated his emphasis on detoxing and was impressed that he gets the importance of that. Stephen Buhner pointed out that when people talk about herbal protocols for treating Lyme disease as experimental they miss the point that all treatment for Lyme disease...
  21. Julie, thanks for the link to Wild Condor, what an incredible story.
  22. I know that frog talks to me all day long.
  23. ### Laura, I'm so glad that you have gained back some weight. Donna, I am glad to know that you are sleeping better. I have plenty of experience with not sleeping and have found it one of the hardest things to deal with. I heard a great description of Lyme, it goes: It's like having a talking frog that only talks when you are alone in the...
  24. Miamia and Rachel, I am sorry to hear you both had such awful days. I often find it difficult. When I was in Calgary I was in a restaurant and they had nothing they could serve me, I was in tears about it. Thank you everyone for your congratulations, I am still in shock.
  25. Ladies, I am a Grandmother, a baby girl has appeared.
