  1. IT'S NOT FULLY FUNCTIONAL, BUT IT'S HERE!!! Open Original Shared Link WOOHOO!!!
  2. Okay, I know we're all anxiously awaiting the soft launch, but is anyone else concerned about the Start to Finish OAT Powder that Carina mentioned in her April 24th news posting? "We have 3 new Start to Finish Powders: Start to Finish Powder (the one that is on special right now), Start to Finish Rice Powder, and Start to Finish Oat Powder. The oat powder...
  3. For what it's worth, my whole family reacts to Bob's Red Mill and we no longer use ANY of their products. Instead, I order most of my flours from Authentic Foods which is dedicated gluten free. It's a little pricey but worth it for the superfine rice flours...and no more reactions (even to the bean flours ) HTH!
  4. OMG...did I create a cult??? I've mostly been away from the forum for the last couple months, just popping into the cooking section occasionally. So last night I decided to see what else was going on and was excited to see a thread on Everyday Minerals. After reading through the first couple pages, I finally realized that the thread was over 80 pages long...
  5. gluten-free Chex Mix is super quick and easy and tastes sooo good! 3/4 teaspoons Garlic Powder 1 1/2 teaspoons Seasoned Salt 1/2 teaspoon Onion Powder 1 cup Mixed Nuts 1 cup gluten-free Pretzels 1 cup Bite Sized Garlic Crackers (I break up Edward & Sons Onion Garlic Rice Snaps) 9 cups Cereal (Rice and/or Corn Crunch
  6. Last year was my first gluten-free/CF/SF/EF Thanksgiving, and amazingly everything turned out great...EXCEPT the bread stuffing For my second attempt, I made tarnalberry's wild rice stuffing recipe which was AWESOME!!! As a bonus, it can be prepared a day in advance as it tastes even better the second day Here's the recipe for anyone who's interested...
  7. I haven't found anything in the Everyday Minerals line that isn't gluten free, and have never reacted to any of their makeup, but it's always good to check as they continue to add new products. I had almost given up on finding a gluten-free, soy-free lip stick or gloss, but have no problems with the Everyday Minerals potted lip gloss...HOORAY!
  8. After going to a new salon and taking a chance on an unknown brand, my hair started falling out in clumps. I just had my color redone and went back to Wella (which has always worked great for me in the past), and my hair is finally happy again...HOORAY!!!
  9. I am totally inspired and in awe of all this creativity. I haven't tried it yet as my son's Laptop Lunchbox just arrived, but DH is already asking for something similar...I just don't know whether to get him Mr. Bento or Laptop Lunch. Does anyone know of a book that has fun ideas for kids' lunches??? If not, I look forward to hearing more about what...
  10. I just looked up this recipe and it sounds soooo good! So are you using the Pamela's bread mix or baking mix? And how much...are you measuring by the bag or by the recipe (3 1/2 cups)? I'd really like to try this!!!
  11. I also use Pamela's pizza crust (with the added spices) to make breadsticks for spaghetti, etc. I just spread it out on a small greased cookie sheet, bake, then cut into "strips"...YUMMY! I've also done the same thing but spread it a bit thinner, bake, then cut into triangles to use in place of pita bread for dipping in hummus, etc.
  12. I also have very fine hair and used Pantene 2in1. After some trial and error, I've finally settled on Dove's Advanced Care Sheer Moisture Shampoo and Conditioner. It doesn't weigh my hair down but also has enough moisture to prevent problems with flyaways and static. I feel your frustration...good luck!
  13. The one magazine I'm currently subscribed to is Living Without (A Lifestyle Guide for People with Allergies and Food Sensitivities). It's only published four times per year, but has lots of great info and recipes...I highly recommend it! Here's a link to their website: Open Original Shared Link
  14. Just wanted to say that I get these too! Interestingly, I had one tonight that showed up right after eating some crunchy potato chips...hmmmm, maybe RiceGuy is on to something. Anyway, sorry I don't have more to add, but am glad to know that it's not just me
  15. I too mourned the loss of a crockpot, especially after my first attempt at replacement burned EVERYTHING! Despite the bad reviews on so many crockpots, I got up the courage to try another one in the fall and ordered the Rival-64451LD-C-Cooker-Little-Dipper from Amazon for $40. It's awesome and can even go overnight without burning!!!
