Underarm And Top Of Leg Rash

Hello, first time poster.

Well i have not had any testing done, but....

I have had a rash on the tops of my quads and under my armpits/down my side for 6yrs now, has its good and bad times. recently i went on a high fat high protien no carb diet, as a result the rsh completley disapeared. i went off diet and rash came back, i was eating lots of bread and cereals and anything. Went back to high fat and protein and no carb one week ago and the rash has almost gone..

The rash is red itches like anything and at times has been wet, if scratched alot.

any help would be appreciated.

oh also my bowel movements are not great when eating the breads and carbs...too much info i know

You might want to get the area next to the rash biopsied if you want to confirm that it is DH. There are other skin conditions that are also caused by a reaction to gluten but if you have a diagnosis of DH you have a diagnosis of celiac. You could also while you are still on a full gluten diet ask for a celiac panel. Although there are false negatives with that.

You also have the choice of simply doing the gluten free lifestyle if having a firm medically official diagnois is not needed for you to remain complaint.
