Celiac.com 09/11/2025 - For many people living with Celiac Disease, dining out or grabbing a quick meal can feel limiting. The constant question—"Is this safe for me?"—often makes it seem like flavor, convenience, and variety are out of reach. Cafe Spice is working to change that. The brand believes that everyone deserves access to authentic, global meals without compromise.

That's why Cafe Spice has made it their mission to bring bold, authentic flavors into homes with meals that are not only delicious but also certified gluten-free.

Naturally Gluten-Free: The Indian Kitchen Advantage

    Celiac.com Sponsor (A12):
Indian cuisine has long been built on a foundation of wholesome ingredients that are naturally gluten-free. Fragrant basmati rice, protein-packed lentils, chickpeas, and a rainbow of vegetables pair with aromatic spices like turmeric, cumin, and coriander to create vibrant meals that satisfy both comfort-food cravings and adventurous taste buds.

Cafe Spice leans into this tradition, carefully crafting dishes that highlight authentic recipes while remaining safe for those with Celiac Disease. From creamy Butter Chicken Meatballs to plant-based Channa Masala, the lineup is rich in variety and rooted in flavor.

    Certified Gluten-Free, Always

Safety is at the heart of Cafe Spice's mission. Most meals are certified gluten-free by Where Food Comes From, a trusted third-party verification program. This certification ensures that these meals meet the highest standards for gluten-free production.

Beyond certification, Cafe Spice follows strict safety protocols to prevent cross-contamination at every step of the process. That way, customers can enjoy their meals with confidence—without worrying about hidden gluten sneaking onto the plate.

    Diverse Options for Every Lifestyle

Living gluten-free shouldn't feel restrictive. That's why Cafe Spice has curated a diverse selection of meals to fit different lifestyles. Whether someone is vegetarian, plant-based, dairy free, or simply looking for comforting classics, there's a Cafe Spice meal to match.

    • For vegetarians: The Vegetable Korma combines fresh vegetables and warming spices in a spicy, creamy tomato-based sauce.
    • For plant-based eaters: The Channa Masala is hearty, satisfying, and 100% vegan.
    • For protein lovers: The signature Chicken Tikka Masala balances smoky, spiced chicken with velvety tomato sauce.

Each meal is chef-crafted, portioned perfectly, and ready to heat and enjoy in minutes—because eating well should never be complicated.

Scott Adams was diagnosed with celiac disease in 1994, and, due to the nearly total lack of information available at that time, was forced to become an expert on the disease in order to recover. In 1995 he launched the site that later became Celiac.com to help as many people as possible with celiac disease get diagnosed so they can begin to live happy, healthy gluten-free lives.  He is co-author of the book Cereal Killers, and founder and publisher of the (formerly paper) newsletter Journal of Gluten Sensitivity. In 1998 he founded The Gluten-Free Mall which he sold in 2014. Celiac.com does not sell any products, and is 100% advertiser supported.

Calls for Major Changes to Gluten-Free Labels and Policies in India
Celiac.com 03/21/2019 - Calls are mounting in India to eliminate the term "low-gluten" from food labels, and to push for “zero gluten” labels for foods that are gluten-free. The Heart Care Foundation of India (HCFI) is calling for the term "low-gluten" to be eliminated from food labels, and for gluten-free foods to be labelled as "zero gluten," with the idea that the public perceives foods labeled "gluten-free" to include some gluten.
Moreover, HFCI is calling for gluten-free food options on all airlines and trains, and in all parties, marriages and restaurants for people who need to avoid gluten for medical reasons. They are also calling for gluten-free options for non-celiac wheat sensitive persons, which includes up to ten percent of the population. HFCI is calling on medical asso...
