I heard that gluten allergies can cause sinus problems. For me, it is sinus swelling, and not mucus. I get my worst congestion at night, usually having one nostril completely clogged. I have just been off gluten for a few days now, and I would like to know how long i should expect for congestion to go away. How many days, in your experience, did it take for nasal congestion to go away?

ty!

Hi Norman!

Everyone is different and symptoms improve at all different rates.  My son had severe nasal congestion -- it has improved, but isn't completely gone - gerd and sinus issues are his only remaining symptoms - although much improved.

I hope this improves for you quickly -- also sometimes we blame gluten for some issues that can be attributed to something else -- if your sinus issue doesn't improve - I'd look at other possible irritants.

Hang in there :)

The Lindt (Lindor) dairy-free oat milk truffles are definitely gluten-free, and (last time I checked) so are the white chocolate truffles and the mint chocolate truffles.

I've used magnesium taurinate and magnesium taurate vitamins.  Didn't notice much of a difference when I used them.

More great tips, and a good excuse to shop at M&S and also buy more iced buns!   I wish we had an ASDA near us, as the few times we've been to one their gluten-free pasta range seemed very reasonably priced compared to other shops.  Thanks so much, @Russ H.
