Does anyone have recomendations for gluten free restaurant options on the North Shore of Minnesota?Anything from Duluth to Grand Marais. 

 

We spend a week in the Castle Danger area and I usually just bring my own food and don't bother trying to eat when we go out, but with all the additional awareness that has been happening recently I'm wondering if there are any good, verified options now.

For me, cooking my own is a must.  I have stayed in a beautiful lodge in the Duluth/Two Harbors area.  This place is right by the lake and had units with full kitchens.  When I stayed it appeared very clean.  I have not stayed since I went gluten free.  If I went now, I would bring my own pans and  utensils to avoid cross contamination. 

 

I have been to restaurants in the area, but not since I was gluten free.

      You would think any business would see the wisdom of honoring a $50 gift certificate on the basis of customer satisfaction alone, apart from any questions about software glitches.

      When my wife attempted to open the online card in the store with a cashier, it would not work. We then showed the owner the link to the card, the online receipt that I got upon purchase, and even my bank statement confirming the purchase. That did not satisfy her, since she said she needed the link to open to reveal the gift ID num. They even admitted they...
