I Could Have Told Them That....

So the biopsy of the blister came back.....inconclusive with possible diagnosis being eczema and psoriasis....

Well I could have told them that.

The immuno-florescent study of the uninvolved skin has not come back yet.  The nurse said "well it says it is not diagnostic of DH"- Duh.   I told them the biopsy of the blister wouldn't diagnose DH.

Always lovely when the doctors know what they're doing.........typed with extreme sarcasm. :)

Hopefully the other, correct test, will come back with real information!

IKR!!   I wanted to be like, well, thanks for the waste of money....we already knew she had eczema, and if the DH test comes back positive, it probably isn't psoriasis!  I don't think it is psoriasis, but if it is, it is just another Celiac symptom......

Plus, when I google pictures of psoriasis, that is NOT what her rash looks like at all.  Once the blisters pop, dry, and then eventually peel, they kind of.....sort of...maybe look like that-  ish.....  It is a stretch.

Aggravating! Did they tell you how long it would be for the other test to come back?

Sometimes, it's nice to be vindicated. Other times, while it's nice to be vindicated....it is also rather bittersweet. :(

I've had my fill of doctors lately....and pharmacy people too. Heaven knows what we're going to have to go through with the people that work at CVS here when we tell them that all his medication has to be gluten free. I can picture it already....and it isn't good. :/ I really wish I could go back to my local Walgreens! Grumble...grumble....grumble!!!

wmramsel Explorer

Nope.  They told me their courier comes every day at 4 and to feel free to call.  The nurse said she would call me as soon as she got the results, but I called yesterday before she looked at the reports.

As far as pharmacies go- be prepared to have to call the medicine manufacturers and for them to give you a canned line of "we do not certify our products but can tell you there are no ingredients that naturally have gluten in them".  Pain!

Awesome. I already dislike CVS...this is only going to add to it (even though I know it isn't their fault, they drive me nuts enough to make it their fault!) wonderful.

I hope those results come in soon. That response would have driven me nuts. My offices usually tell me it should be here within so many days and if we haven't called you by this day...please call us.

So I've been dealing with chasing the name celiac because of my body actively dealing with health issues related to celiac though not eating. Diagnosed in 1994 before foods eliminated from diet. After 25 years with former pcp I googled celiac specialist and she wasn't because of what ive been through. I wanted my results to be sent to my pcp but nothing was sent.I have email copies.I did one zoom call with np with team member from celiac specialist in Nov 2025 and she asked me why I wanted to know why I wanted the celiac diagnosis so bad, I sad I don't, its my life and I need revalidaion because its affecting me.KB stated well it shows you are.I asked then why am I going through all this.I was labeled unruly. Its been a celiac circus and medical has caused anxiety and depression no fault to my own other than being born with bad genetics. How is it legal for medical professionals to gaslight patients that are with an ailment coming for help to be downplayed? KB put in my records that she personally spent 120min with me and I think the zoom call was discussing celiac 80 min ONE ZOOM call.SHE is responsible for not explaining to my pcp about celiac disease am I right?

I've noticed with my age and menopause my smell for bread gives me severe migraines and I know this. Its alarming that there are all these fabulous bakeries, sandwich places pizza places popping up in confined areas.Just the other day I suffered a migraine after I got done with my mri when a guy with a brown paper bag walk in front of me and I smelled that fresh dough bread with tuna, I got a migraine when we got home.I hate im that sensitive. Its alarming these places are popping up in airports as well.I just saw on the news that the airport ( can't remember which  one)was going to have a fabulous smelling bakery. Not for sensitive celiacs, this can alter their health during their travel which isn't safe. More awareness really NEEDS to be promoted, so much more than just a food consumption!FYI I did write to Stanislaus to let them know my thoughts on the medical field not knowing much about celiac and how it affects one.I also did message my gi the 3 specialist names that was given on previous post on questions on celiac. I pray its not on deaf door.
