Symptons Worsen With Time - Untreated

before, I would get gassy and bloated maybe 2-3 times a month, now, I lucky if I can go one whole day. 

 

Do the symptons get worse and / or more frequent with time?

Mine surely did.  I recall noticing my tummy bloating when I was in college.  Did it bloat, or didn't it I wondered?  Skip forward 30 years and my tummy often was mistaken for pregnant and nothing worked anymore to bring it down.

 

Yet there were years when I felt fairly good for a while.

 

I hope you will get off gluten soon  My thought is it is not real fun as an experiment to see if symptoms get worse and worse.  Most of us just did it cause we didn't know better. Did you get tested?

 

Or perhaps you meant that gluten free you are experiencing more bloating? I notice bloating more, because I am not always bloated anymore.

Mine did too. And then new symptoms would show up and then they got worse over time too.... It just slowly sneaks up on you until it gets really hard to ignore, if not impossible. I didn't realize how bad I felt until I started to feel better.

You've been a forum member for sometime now.  Were you diagnosed?  Have you been following a gluten-free diet?  Do you have any food allergies/intolerances?

I was for a period of time, and then try this and try that.  I still don't eat bread, but that's just a start.

 

I will be getting a colonoscopy and upper endoscope exams next month, and I'm going to ask for biopsies to be taken at both ends of my small intestines.  I am positive for the genitic test. but no other test.

Be sure to keep on eating gluten every day until your endoscopy!
